Background

Qinglin was taken in by Xiao Ding after he found her starving outside Stone Desert City. She became a maid in the Desert Iron Mercenary Group, where she was forced into exhausting work, poorly fed, and routinely bullied. Most people treated her as an “ill-omened” monster because of her Snake-People bloodline. 27 28

Lu Xia identified her by the dormant aura of the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils and offered to take her away. His assurance that she was neither cursed nor dangerous gave Qinglin the confidence to leave the mercenary group willingly. 27 28

Appearance

Initially frail and malnourished from her life as a servant, Qinglin becomes visibly livelier after her bloodline awakening and begins wearing a light-green dress. 27 31

Personality

Qinglin is gentle, shy, and deeply insecure due to years of neglect and prejudice. She initially fears that her heritage makes her inherently harmful, and she is easily frightened by harsh attention or the possibility of abandonment. 27 29 43

She is also resilient and determined. Qinglin endures the agony of her bloodline awakening because she does not want to disappoint Lu Xia, then turns her fear of being a burden into motivation to cultivate harder. 30 43

Despite her timidity, she is affectionate and compassionate. Her bond with Little Flame is caring rather than merely controlling, and she quickly develops sincere affection for Medusa despite being initially frightened of her. 32 35

Desert Iron Mercenary Group

Lu Xia enters the Desert Iron Mercenary Group specifically to find Qinglin. He recognizes her dormant bloodline, reassures her that her eyes are a gift rather than a curse, and takes her away after she agrees to follow him. 27 28

Bloodline Awakening and Little Flame

Lu Xia awakens Qinglin’s Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils using the Green Lotus Core Flame. The process elevates her to Nine-Star Dou Zhe and reveals her ability to suppress snake bloodlines. 30 31

Soon afterward, Qinglin tames the Two-Headed Fire Spirit Snake that Lu Xia preserved for her, names it Little Flame, and gains her first magical-beast companion. 32

Journey to the Black-Corner Region

Qinglin advances to One-Star Dou Master at Ghost Suppression Pass and learns basic Dou Techniques while traveling with Lu Xia and Medusa. Her pupils continue to nurture both her own cultivation and Little Flame’s growth. 35 36

When Lu Xia and Medusa leave to obtain and use the Sea Heart Flame, Qinglin worries that she has been abandoned. She resolves to become stronger rather than remain a burden, reaching Two-Star Dou Master before Lu Xia returns. 43 44

Sky Serpent Mansion

Lu Xia brings Qinglin to the Sky Serpent Empire so she can receive the inheritance best suited to the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils. Along the journey, lower-tier snake-type magical beasts submit to her gaze without resistance. 45 46

At Sky Serpent Mansion, She Tianchen recognizes Qinglin’s pupils and urgently seeks to take her as his disciple. Lu Xia secures guarantees for her safety and status before allowing her to remain. Qinglin formally becomes She Tianchen’s final disciple and is declared the mansion’s saintess, second only to him in authority. 49 50
