Upon entering the grand formation, Dao Xuan was quickly dumbfounded. It was not because there were no treasures within the formation, but because the treasure before him was simply too shocking.
The "treasure" within the formation was, astonishingly, a primordial spirit root just like his true body, the Banana Tree.
Or rather, it was a primordial spirit root of an even higher grade than his true body, the Banana Tree.
That was right. The spirit root within the formation was the Primordial Gourd Vine, one of the ten greatest spirit roots of the Primordial World.
The Gourd Vine that bore seven treasures in a single birth, and whose vine itself even became the Creation Whip!
So this Gourd Vine was his opportunity?
Even Dao Xuan could not help growing excited.
Especially when he saw that five gourds had already formed upon the Gourd Vine, with two more flowers still blooming.
Leaving aside the value of the Gourd Vine itself, those five gourds alone could be refined into top-grade primordial spirit treasures.
In the original course of events, had not the Three Pure Ones, Taiyi, Nuwa, Hong Yun, and the others each obtained a gourd that became a top-grade primordial spirit treasure?
And now, he had beaten them to it and snatched away this Gourd Vine first.
Everything followed the order of arrival. Since he had arrived first, this Gourd Vine naturally belonged to Dao Xuan.
With a wave of his hand, Dao Xuan collected the entire Gourd Vine. Naturally, he also took away the clump of Nine Heavens Breath Soil beneath its roots.
As for what the others would do about their gourds in the future, or how Nuwa would create humans, that had nothing to do with Dao Xuan.
Nor would this create any karmic entanglement. After all, the Gourd Vine had practically been delivered right before him. If Dao Xuan did not take it, that would be karma instead.
With such a harvest, Dao Xuan's entire mood brightened.
The facts had proven that he was not some hopelessly unlucky fool. He was undeniably blessed with incredible luck, all right?
After leaving Mount Buzhou.
Standing at the foot of Mount Buzhou and looking up at it, Dao Xuan could not help feeling a faint ripple stir within his heart.
However, Dao Xuan soon turned around and flew eastward without looking back.
Mount Buzhou was not somewhere he could stay for long. Naturally, he needed to find a suitable place to live.
The first place Dao Xuan thought of was the Three Immortal Islands in the Eastern Sea. If he could find one of them, he would have a dao field.
And if he could not find one, that was fine too. He could settle for the next best thing and change course for the Southern Sea.
He had heard that there were also several immortal islands in the Southern Sea that were exceptionally suitable for living.
As for the Northern Sea, Western Sea, Primordial Land, and Primordial Starry Sky, Dao Xuan did not consider any of them particularly suitable for establishing a dao field.
In any case, he would try his luck first!
He traveled all the way east.
Dao Xuan could not help sighing at how truly vast the Primordial World was. Even for a Great Principle Golden Immortal, traveling from Mount Buzhou to the Eastern Sea required an extremely long time.
Thus, aside from the beginning of the journey, when Dao Xuan had traveled at full speed, he later caught a white crane to use as a mount.
Although the white crane was only a Golden Immortal and flew far slower than Dao Xuan, Dao Xuan was in no hurry.
So, riding the immortal crane, Dao Xuan became leisurely.
Once he had relaxed, Dao Xuan began pondering some of his divine abilities and methods to pass the time.
It had to be said that while leaving Mount Buzhou had not been the wrong decision, he had still acted too hastily. After coming into being, he should have secluded himself for a time. Not only would that have stabilized his realm, but he also should have created some divine abilities and spells.
After all, in the Primordial World, besides cultivation and comprehending the Dao, methods for protecting oneself and facing enemies were also indispensable.
Yet all divine abilities and spells ultimately originated from the Great Dao. Based on his own Dao, creating all manner of divine abilities and spells suited to himself was an extremely simple matter.
Along the way, Dao Xuan did not know how many divine abilities and spells he came up with. Most were useless, but some were fairly practical.
For example, Dao Xuan had drawn inspiration from Kong Xuan's Five-Colored Divine Light and, using his own Four Symbols Origin, created a technique called Four-Colored Divine Light.
Though it had one color fewer than Kong Xuan's Five-Colored Divine Light, the Four-Colored Divine Light was not the least bit weaker. Dao Xuan even felt that once his Four-Colored Divine Light reached completion, it might be even more terrifying than the Five-Colored Divine Light.
That was because the essence of the Four-Colored Divine Light was the Four Symbols of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind—the four primal forces that had opened heaven and earth. It could be said that they were the powers of creation.
When cultivated to the utmost limit, the Four-Colored Divine Light would become a supreme divine ability capable of creating worlds. Its power was far greater than the Five-Colored Divine Light, which judged the Five Elements and swept away all things of the Five Elements.
Of course, whether it was the Four-Colored Divine Light or the Five-Colored Divine Light, cultivating either to completion was extraordinarily difficult.
Kong Xuan had been able to cultivate the Five-Colored Divine Light to completion because he had been born with a strand of primordial Five Elements origin, and only after enduring endless years had he finally succeeded.
Dao Xuan's Four-Colored Divine Light was much the same. Only someone like Dao Xuan, whose true nature was a Four Symbols Spirit Root and who possessed the corresponding Four Symbols origins of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind, had any hope of succeeding.
As for others, even if they understood the principles of the Five-Colored Divine Light and Four-Colored Divine Light, they would have almost no possibility of cultivating them to completion.
That said, Dao Xuan regarded this Four-Colored Divine Light as one of his trump cards. Aside from the Four Symbols Treasure Fan, which he would use to prove his Dao, the Four-Colored Divine Light would undoubtedly become one of his most important divine abilities in the future.
The Four-Colored Divine Light contained the power of the Four Symbols: Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind.
Among them, "Earth" represented stability, support, and heaviness. All solid things, mountains and rivers, the land, suppression, and confinement. It was not the same as the "Earth" of the Five Elements, but rather the chaos-level principle of "firm support."
The remaining "Water," "Fire," and "Wind" were the same in this regard.
"Water" represented gathering, permeation, and containment. It united all things, nurtured living beings, dissolved all things, and governed all transformations.
"Fire" represented burning, transformation, creation, and destruction. Heat, divine flame, the destruction of old things, and the fostering of new life.
"Wind," meanwhile, represented movement, circulation, and tearing. All movement through the void, the operation of all things, spatial rifts, and every change belonged to Wind.
When Pangu opened heaven and earth and split apart chaos, the first things to surge forth were the Four Symbols of "Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind." These four forces of differing natures intertwined and collided, thereby evolving into the heavens and earth of the Primordial World.
When the four were harmonized, the world took shape; when the four fell into chaos, heaven and earth faced a great calamity of destruction.
Thus, from this deduction, Dao Xuan's Four-Colored Divine Light possessed two ultimate powers: one was creation, and the other was destruction. It all depended on a single thought from Dao Xuan.
And because of this Four-Colored Divine Light, Dao Xuan continued to make associations and deductions, arriving at an even greater idea.
After all, no matter how powerful a divine ability was, it remained only a divine ability, not the foundation. The true foundation was one's own Great Dao.
Dao Xuan could evolve his own Great Dao into divine abilities, so what about the reverse? The Four-Colored Divine Light could also be used to support and verify his Great Dao.
And the means of supporting and verifying it lay in one of the Four-Colored Divine Light's two great powers: "creation."
That was right. This was also an extremely common method of proving the Dao among transmigrators: opening a world and proving the Dao through the world!
