The three of them prayed to the Heavenly Dao together, and Jieyin shouted to the heavens, "Heavenly Dao above, I am Jieyin. Today, I establish a great sect here, named the Western Teachings. I shall be its Sect Leader, with Zhunti and Hong Yun as Vice Sect Leaders, and we shall enlighten all living beings of the West."
"I shall use the Twelve-Grade Golden Lotus of Merit to anchor the fortune of the Western Teachings. Western Teachings, arise!"

The moment Jieyin's voice fell, the Heavenly Dao stirred once again, acknowledging the Western Teachings established by the three of them. Vast quantities of merit then gathered above their heads.
About half of that merit descended upon Jieyin, while Zhunti and Hong Yun divided the remaining half equally.
Upon receiving this church-establishing merit, Jieyin and Zhunti both rose from mid-stage Quasi-Saint to Quasi-Saint perfection.
It was just like when Zhen Yuanzi and Hong Yun had established the Earth Immortal Church.
Although Jieyin had named himself Sect Leader and received more merit, this church-establishing merit alone clearly could not make him a Saint outright.
Yet beside them, after absorbing the merit granted to him as Vice Sect Leader of the Western Teachings, Hong Yun suddenly erupted with an incomparably powerful pressure.
Hong Yun had become a Saint.
After receiving church-establishing merit twice in succession, he had finally scraped together enough merit to attain sainthood.
Granted, Hong Yun could also feel that the merit with which he had attained sainthood had only barely sufficed, probably just meeting the threshold.
