"Human, I'll definitely eat you."

Eel Head stared at Liu Zheng and spoke word by word.

"Then go get a number first. Too many things want to eat me. Deal already."

After aiming for two seconds, Liu Zheng accurately tossed a red chip into the circumcircle around the Succubus Dealer.

"You there, bring this guest a Pink Fuzzy Rabbit."

The Succubus Dealer did not deal immediately, instead calling over the passing Jellyfish Waiter.

"Handsome, this round's on me."

She threw him another flirtatious wink.

In the slightly yellow beer floated a pink rabbit that had been half-skinned.

Red blood slowly seeped out, only to be immediately absorbed and assimilated by the beer.

"Not bad."

Liu Zheng took a huge gulp.

"Burp."

The Succubus Dealer opened another deck of cards and began dealing.

The pattern on the back of this deck differed from the previous one.

The last deck had featured a massive dead tree; this one showed a blood-red waxing moon.

Liu Zheng picked up his hole cards and blocked Cow-Horse's view with his hand.

"Another pair of Aces. Sigh."

He put down his cards and sighed.

"Again?! I don't even need to look to know you don't have a pair of Aces."

The veins on Cow-Horse's forehead throbbed violently.

Ever since this kid had entered the Black Market, something had clearly been wrong with his head.

"If I have a pair of Aces, you eat this table."

Liu Zheng snapped.

"If you don't have a pair of Aces, you eat this cup."

Cow-Horse refused to back down.

"Come on, then."

As he spoke, Liu Zheng moved to flip over his hole cards.

"Handsome, revealing your cards now counts as a loss."

The Succubus Dealer reminded him.

"Hmph. Lucky you."

Liu Zheng released his tentacle.

"Putting on an act."

Cow-Horse rolled his eyes hard.

"Is the casino really going to let them fool around like this?"

A gambler whose head resembled a screw complained.

"That isn't against the rules."

The Succubus Dealer said with a smile.

"Hmph. I raise."

Screwhead glanced at his hole cards and tossed out two red chips.

"Call."

"Call."

"Call."

This time, no one folded. Every gambler chose to call.

"You dare call against a pair of Aces? Do you even know how to play cards?"

Liu Zheng said indignantly.

"If they still believed you had a pair of Aces, that would mean they didn't know how to play."

Cow-Horse said gloomily from the side.

"Whose side are you on, exactly?"

Liu Zheng glared at him.

"If you win, you're the boss."

Cow-Horse shut his mouth.

Three community cards were dealt: the Queen of Diamonds, the Eight of Diamonds, and the Five of Diamonds.

"Raise."

The gambler in the small blind position spoke impatiently.

It looked like a lump of fermented dough, puffing up as though heated whenever it spoke.

Its chubby little white hand shoved forward a black chip.

The sight made Liu Zheng hungry.

"I have three Queens. You dare call?"

Leavened Dough provoked him.

"I've got a flush. Why would I fear your three Queens? I've got you beat."

Liu Zheng licked his healing mouthparts and tossed out two black chips.

"Didn't you say you had a pair of Aces? How the hell did you make a flush?"

Cow-Horse could no longer hold it in.

"Why do you care? What if I have the Ace of Diamonds twice?"

Liu Zheng rolled his eyes.

"Fine, fine, fine."

Cow-Horse conceded.

"Call."

"Fold."

"Call."

"Fold."

Two more players chose to call, including Eel Head.

"I am the one with... a flush. You... wait to die."

It spoke slowly.

"If you can't talk, then don't. Go learn some sign language instead of embarrassing yourself."

Liu Zheng mocked.

"Die!"

Eel Head flew into a rage.

Its long, slender neck suddenly shot out, biting toward Liu Zheng's head like lightning.

"Pretty fast!"

Liu Zheng narrowed his eyes slightly.

He had not expected Eel Head to be this strong. Its speed was nearly on par with the security guards of Green Longan Mad City.

However, he was no longer the human who could only be slaughtered at others' whim.

He raised a tentacle to block, but someone was faster than him.

Cow-Horse reared up on his hind legs, his iron hooves stomping down like thunder.

Eel Head was pinned beneath a bovine hoof, like a venomous snake subdued by a divine ox.

"Don't act like I'm not here."

Cow-Horse said casually.

Eel Head opened its mouth and bit at his ankle, yet it could not even pierce his fur.

Three-time Outstanding Employee of the Bloody Employee was not an easy title to earn.

"No fighting, or I'll call security."

The Succubus Dealer spoke up at the right moment.

A cold, sinister gaze fell upon him, making Liu Zheng shudder.

He looked over. In the corner, someone wearing a cowboy hat was flipping a coin.

His left hand rested at his waist, beside an enormous revolver.

No one doubted that the bullets from that gun could shatter anyone's head.

"We're just livening things up. Cow-Horse, let him go."

Liu Zheng said flatly.

"You can't even bring yourself to call me boss."

Cow-Horse pursed his lips, but still lifted his hoof.

Eel Head quickly retracted, even bouncing a few times.

It glared fiercely at Liu Zheng but ignored Cow-Horse.

"Deal, deal."

Leavened Dough urged.

It did not care what grudges they had. It only wanted to win money.

The Succubus Dealer dealt the fourth community card: the Eight of Clubs.

"Hahaha."

Leavened Dough let out a laugh like a pressure cooker venting steam, its skin swelling high.

"Let's see if you still dare call now."

It tossed out five black chips.

"A full house beats my four Aces? I'll crush you, you punk."

Without hesitation, Liu Zheng threw out ten black chips.

"There isn't even an Ace on the table. How the hell do you have four Aces?"

Cow-Horse felt like he was going insane.

"If you don't understand, shut up. You there, get me another—"

Liu Zheng suddenly fell silent.

He stared fixedly at a waiter with a bat's head.

It was holding a little curly-haired girl upside down.

Her eyes were dull and lifeless, and her skin had turned purple.

She was probably truly dead.

Yes. If she were still alive, why would she not be crying?

"Don't act rashly, kid."

Cow-Horse quietly placed a hoof on Liu Zheng's shoulder.

"This world is just like that. There was crocodile meat in the employee meals you ate too."

"Then why don't you eat those Cow-Horse meat cans?"

Liu Zheng retorted.

"I just don't eat them, but I can't save them either."

Cow-Horse said calmly.

"Oink is so strong, yet all he could do was burn down that pig farm. He hacked apart half a restaurant, and in the end, he still had to hide in the Black Market."

"Don't you want to live? Then live first."

He patted Liu Zheng on the shoulder.

"Hey, you there, I want that one."

Liu Zheng was silent for a moment, then shouted loudly.

"Sorry, sir. That was ordered by the guest at that table."

The bat-headed waiter said politely.

"I'll pay more."

"This isn't a matter of paying more."

The bat-headed waiter shook its head.

"Hey, how about you give this to me?"

Liu Zheng grabbed two black chips and tossed them toward the customer the waiter had indicated.

A crocodile with a messy bird's-nest hairstyle.

The chips traced a graceful arc and landed in the center of its messy hair.

The crocodile slowly raised its head, then slowly stretched out a short little arm to reach the chips.

It looked at Liu Zheng, then at Cow-Horse, and slowly nodded.

"Can you give her to me now?"

Liu Zheng said.

"Fine. She's yours. Would you like her prepared? We offer steaming, braising, and claypot rice."

The bat-headed waiter asked.

"Just give me a takeout box."
