"When will they be brought over?"
Liu Zheng asked.
"They're nearby. We can have them come over right away."
The deputy director replied.
"Then hurry up. I don't have much time."
He said.
"Understood. Please wait a few minutes."
The two waited quietly. Before long, a tall woman with light brown hair walked over carrying a baby, followed by two middle-aged or elderly people.
The woman and the elderly couple wore complicated expressions—grief, confusion, worry, and fear.
Only the baby in her arms had no such concerns. She kept looking around at the scenery, her eyes full of curiosity.
But she had more or less been affected by the adults' emotions as well. She merely watched quietly, neither laughing nor crying.
"Can I have some time alone with them?"
After they came over, Liu Zheng tilted his chin at the deputy director.
"Of course."
The deputy director tactfully moved some distance away.
"You're Water Forty-Three's family, right?"

"Yes. I'm his wife, and these are his parents. This is his daughter."
The woman answered nervously.
"What's her name?"
He pointed at the baby.
"Shuisheng."
The woman replied.
"Isn't that name wrong?"
Liu Zheng frowned slightly.
"My husband named her Jasmine Johnson, but I think he had the right to give his daughter his surname."
The woman looked at the baby in her arms, and all the complicated emotions on her face turned into tenderness.
"Mm. He was a real man."
Remembering how Water Forty-Three had charged at the Doppler Swordsman like a moth flying into a flame, Liu Zheng nodded.
Although he already believed the woman's identity, Liu Zheng still had them produce proof of who they were, just in case.
After examining things like photographs, household registration records, and paternity test results, he more or less believed
