"Annoying human, what are you here for again?"
French Plane Tree's tone was as disdainful as ever.
"I brought you something good."
Liu Zheng said with a smile, then took off the Legendary Delivery Box.
"Did you bring me wine?"
French Plane Tree asked in delight.
"Uh, no wine. Supplies have been seriously short lately. If you want wine, I'll have to restock first."
"Then what good stuff could you possibly have?"
French Plane Tree was greatly disappointed.
"Drinks and desserts from Bad-Luck Coffee. Those aren't bad either, right?"
He took out the portion he had prepared for French Plane Tree and set it before the black soil.
"Average. This sort of thing has some flavor to animals like you, but to plants like us, it's no different from water."
French Plane Tree curled her lips.
"So you don't want it?"
Liu Zheng made as if to take it back.
"Who said I didn't want it?"
A black root burst from the soil and swept both the drink and dessert into the black earth.
"You've taken so many things from me. It's only right that you give me a little compensation."
French Plane Tree said.
"It was a trade."
He corrected her.
"It was taking! Taking! It's already generous of me not to call you a robber, human!"
French Plane Tree suddenly became agitated.
"Fine, fine. As long as you're happy. Facts speak louder than words, anyway."
Liu Zheng said with a shrug.
He was a primate, after all. Even if he won an argument with a drunken plant, it would still be beneath him.
"Hmph. Speak, you sinister human. What do you want to take from me this time?"
