"I feel like a word like 'frenzy' suits a blade better."

Liu Zheng shrugged.

"After all, people go mad and hack others apart. You never hear about them going mad and stabbing people."

"Hmm, fair point. In that case, I'll forge a two-handed saber."

O Yegan said.

"Those are so ugly, and they're not flexible enough."

He shook his head.

"Then what shape do you want?"

O Yegan asked.

"How about a goose-feather saber? Good-looking and practical."

Liu Zheng said.

"All right, then I'll make it in that style."

O Yegan nodded.

"You're not planning to use me to forge it, are you?"

It finally dawned on him.

"Exactly. Why else do you think I'd ask your opinion?"

"Ah, I knew it. Let's get this straight first: you can use me to forge the blade, but I can only cut pieces off bit by bit. I can't jump in whole."

Liu Zheng immediately started negotiating.

Metropolis was packed with things craving his meat and his "flesh," anyway. He was already used to this sort of thing.

"I wouldn't agree even if you wanted to jump in whole. Do you think just any piece of meat will do? We still have to keep the essence and discard the dregs."

"Of course, jumping in whole does have its benefits. Drawing on a blood sacrifice's resolve to die, or the resentment of someone unjustly killed, can often turn the worthless into the miraculous."

"But I don't care for such shortcuts, so you can rest easy."

O Yegan said.

"Whether I can rest easy depends on who gets the blade once it's finished."

Liu Zheng replied.

Nobody complained about having too many weapons. Besides, he had four tentacles. Even with this Metropolis version of the "Snow-Drinking Mad Blade," he'd still be one weapon short.
