"That was over a decade ago. Come to think of it, it had something to do with Red Pig too."
Cow-Horse held the liquor Liu Zheng had offered up and began telling the story.
"Oh? How so?"
Liu Zheng played along.
"Back then, wasn't it trying to sneak across the border? I didn't approve of its idea, but whenever I had time, I'd help it scout around."
Cow-Horse spoke vaguely.
So-called scouting naturally meant finding places where the Border Management Bureau's defenses were relatively lax.
"Once, while I was scouting, I spotted someone acting suspiciously, so I secretly followed him."
It continued.
"Boss, how could you call someone else suspicious?"
Liu Zheng said with narrowed eyes.
"What's it to you? Do you still want to hear this or not?"
Cow-Horse glared.
"I do, I do. Go on, go on."
He hurriedly said.
"Then shut up. Interrupt me again and I'll shove this bottle into your mouth."
Cow-Horse threatened, shaking the bottle in its hand.
Liu Zheng made a gesture of zipping his mouth shut.
"I followed him around for several hours. In the end, he cracked first and asked why I was following him."
"At first, I thought he was trying to bait me. But when I saw him keep looking toward where I was hiding, I knew I'd really been exposed."
"Since that was the case, I showed myself and asked him straight out whether he was also trying to sneak out of the country."
"He said yes, so I said we could work together and share intelligence."
"He agreed, then attacked me with a spell the very next second."
"Could I let that slide? First, I used Dryland Onion Uprooting to dodge the spell. Then I hit him with a Thousand-Kilogram Drop and pinned him beneath my ass.
