After entering the break room, Liu Zheng said to Cow-Horse.
"Oh. Then I'll call the boss."
Cow-Horse took out his phone.
"Oh, right. I used the cosplay outfit just now. Your dad's power gave me a hand."
He said.
"Was it strong?"
Cow-Horse paused midway through pressing the buttons.
"Very strong."
Liu Zheng answered seriously.
It was as overpowering as Cow-Horse's strength, yet it carried a special kind of precision.
Compared to destruction, Champion Cow-Horse seemed to prefer suppression.
"Mm, like me."
Cow-Horse nodded and made the call.
"Boss, people from the Cemetery came for Liu Zheng. Yes, I'll send him over right away."
Cow-Horse hung up and jerked his chin at Liu Zheng.
"The boss wants you over there."
"Okay."
He nodded and left the break room.
He took the elevator to Si Xue's office. Today's theme was a primeval forest.
But rather than a tropical rainforest like the Amazon, it was a cool-temperate coniferous forest like those in Canada.
Towering spruces blocked out the cave ceiling. There was barely any grass or shrubbery on the grayish-red ground, only moss, lichen, and other life forms that could endure barren soil.
Si Xue sat atop a slender spruce branch, intently peeling a pinecone.
Today, she wore a JK uniform. Her bare legs swung back and forth, as alarming to watch as the branch that looked ready to snap at any moment.
Liu Zheng did not even dare call out loudly. He merely waved at her from a distance.
Luckily, Si Xue still noticed him.
"Did you leave your vocal cords in the break room? Why are you waving your hands around?"
She spoke flatly.
"I was afraid I'd startle you and make you fall from the tree."
Liu Zheng replied honestly.
