His boots lightly crossed the tender grass, where a few drops of dew still lingered after the downpour.

With that thought, he looked away, drew a deep breath, and started running toward the Shelter.
Before long, Xia Lun reached the Salt Pillar Forest supply point. He didn't linger, merely grabbing a few strips of honey-glazed wild boar jerky before continuing toward the Shelter.
With the rain over and the skies clear, many new streams had appeared in the woods. White currents burbled along, plump fish swam through the water, and grouse, wild boars, and other animals roamed among the trees. Even some blue-gray crabs that had wandered into the forest could be seen beside the grass.
Though Xia Lun was running, he incorporated his Stealth techniques into his movements, keeping to the shadows as much as possible and trying not to leave any tracks or make a sound.
