Snowflakes as big as goose feathers filled the sky. A bitter wind whipped up ice crystals and snow, and the pitch-black world felt desolate and lonely.

In the darkness, Xia Lun carried a Storm Lantern and led three subordinates on a grueling trek through the snow.

From their earlier conversation, he was almost certain there was something wrong with Delis, the Ranch owner's adopted daughter. But instead of killing her outright, he decided to play along and head toward the Cowshed first.

His main reason was that Delis was connected to the Foresight Club, which had long been a thorn in his side. The Foresight Club was so secretive it was nearly impossible to track down.
