Background

Before defecting from Konoha, Orochimaru supervised Aoba Kamikawa in a laboratory. Aoba assisted with extensive experimental development, though the ANBU investigation following Orochimaru’s defection found no proof that Aoba had participated in the most severe human experiments. 1
