Arc 5The Uzumaki Evacuation

Konoha rescued the surviving Uzumaki as Kumoi fought the Four Kage and Hiruzen defended the fleet from Ōnoki. The allied forces withdrew after Konoha’s victory, but the Four Kage pursued the Uzumaki treasury and discovered that a forbidden scroll had been stolen.

Arc 6Konoha’s New Foundations

After the Land of Whirlpools fell, Nangō Kumoi brought its survivors to Konoha and laid plans for their settlement and a new industrial district. Konoha’s clans began responding to the village’s reforms as rival nations pursued sealing research, while Mito prepared to meet Shui Yuan about the Uzumaki Clan’s future.

  • The Ninja World Daily’s report of Kumoi’s battle against three Kage spread across the Ninja World, raising his bounty and prompting smaller nations to seek Konoha’s protection.
  • Konoha welcomed Shui Yuan Uzumaki and the surviving Uzumaki clansmen, and Kumoi proposed settling them in the West District and involving them in an industrial park and university courses.

Arc 7The Nine-Tails and New Weapons

Kumoi spoke with Kurama and began building ties between Konoha and the surviving Uzumaki Clan. As Konoha expanded its public programs and research, Orochimaru proposed a precision energy weapon that Kumoi placed under strict security controls.

  • Mito comforted Shui Yuan over the fall of the Uzumaki Clan, and Shui Yuan pledged the clan’s loyalty to Konoha and promised to rebuild with its support.
  • Kumoi persuaded Mito to let him speak with the Nine-Tails, then entered its sealed realm and fought Kurama before urging it to reconsider its hatred of humans.

He then sent Hiruzen and Team 7 toward the Land of Hot Water to find Uzumaki survivors, while Kumogakure and Madara’s forces moved toward the same region.

  • Yusuke urged Sora to support Kagami’s efforts to integrate the Uchiha into Konoha, and Sora pledged to help the clan flourish within the village.
