Yet these fewer than two hundred people had to protect nearly fifty thousand mu of land, stretching from the northern foot of Mt. Silver to deep within the Endless Forest.
On average, each person had to watch over nearly three hundred mu of nature preserve.
It was an incredibly demanding job.
Fortunately, there were trade-offs. Rangers never lacked supplies; procurement officers regularly brought things in from outside. They had internet access too, and in terms of technology, Rangers were at the forefront. Any technological product beneficial to patrol work would be airlifted to Rangers around the world at the first opportunity.
Overall, if there were no poachers or powerful Pokémon wrecking the forest, this preserve would have been a fine place to coast into retirement.
