Background

Heiduo awakens with no memories from before five days earlier and initially believes he has transmigrated into another person’s body. At the time, he is connected to Team Rocket and possesses only limited personal connections, including Serea, who asks him to become her partner for an upcoming group battle 1.

Team Rocket records later reveal that the original Heiduo ran away after arguing with his parents, lost his money to a scam, and joined the organization. Learning of his parents’ accident while trapped within Team Rocket contributed to severe mental deterioration, hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, restraint, drug treatment, and an intended lobotomy shortly before Heiduo’s arrival 225.

Yujian later explains that Heiduo’s parents were researchers who developed Black Special Medicine and other inexpensive life-saving drugs with the International Police. Their opposition to pharmaceutical profiteering made them enemies, and their deaths in a chemical accident followed the deterioration of their mental health after Heiduo disappeared from protection in Michina 454.
