The Qualifying Round matches would be held in four smaller arenas surrounding the main stadium. They were called smaller arenas, but none of them were any smaller than the Battle Fortress.

Twelve matches would be held each day, for forty-eight matches in total, over four days. Heiduo's first match was in the afternoon, while his second would be the morning after tomorrow.

Just like the Selection Round, the Pokémon used in the Qualifying Round had to be declared in advance. Changes were allowed, but not within half an hour before the match began.
