Just as its name suggested, it was an island shrouded in black mist.
It was essentially an active volcano, but after the Shadow Team's modifications, it had become their main base.
—Were they really not afraid the volcano would suddenly erupt and burn them all to death?
Or did the Shadow Team have some way of preventing a volcanic eruption?
At the very least, Heiduo would never sleep soundly while lying atop a nuclear bomb that could explode at any moment.
After traveling over the sea for who knew how long, the aircraft broke through the mist blanketing the waters and emerged above a massive black island.
Citadark Isle was right before them.
As time passed, the aircraft gradually descended toward Citadark Isle. The first thing Heiduo saw was something like a construction site. Countless Machamp, Machoke, Machop, and other humanoid Pokémon carried building materials while many helmeted workers moved through the site.
Beside them stood many towering buildings, as well as a huge cave at the foot of the mountain.
The aircraft's destination was not there, so it did not linger. It quickly circled the volcano on Citadark Isle and arrived at its far side.
The far side appeared to have already been developed considerably, and there was even a helipad there.
According to Umbreon, Citadark Isle in the game was filled with scorching lava and pitch-black rocks. It did not look like a place people could live at all.
But reality differed slightly from the game. There was no lava here, only bare, unchanging black rock.
There were no plants whatsoever. Rocks were the only things that existed here.
The only proof that it was a volcano was probably the thick smoke constantly spewing from the summit.
