Darkrai: You Can Have My Body, but Never My Heart
While Heiduo kept feeling Darkrai's body, curiously exploring its physical structure.
The unconscious Darkrai's eyes suddenly regained their light, meeting Heiduo's gaze at just that moment.
"Uh, good afternoon."
Heiduo looked a little awkward. Though Darkrai had no gender, feeling it up while it was unconscious still left a terrible impression.
Still, he wasn't worried that Darkrai would hurt him. His shields were up, he was wearing the Ho-Oh Feather Garment, and Mega Gardevoir's psychic barrier stood guard twenty-four hours a day. Even if Dark Void came flying at him, Heal Bell would wake him up.
Darkrai's threat level had already dropped to its lowest point.
Of course, Heiduo had no hobby of courting death. He quickly stood up and backed away.
The method of directly touching Darkrai and using Aura to connect to its mind had failed in the previous test. It was as though there was a wall inside its heart; he simply couldn't get through.
And Psychic-type forced telepathy was ineffective against a Dark type like it.
"Hmm..."
What surprised Heiduo was that the awakened Darkrai did not attack. It merely stood there blankly, its right eye once again covered by that emo fringe, its sapphire-blue left eye fixed motionlessly on Heiduo.
The only difference was that the barely concealed violence in its eyes from when it had first come out of the Poké Ball seemed to have vanished.
Did getting beaten knock some sense into it?
Heiduo did not rashly approach.
Although all the elemental energy inside it had been drained by Sceptile's Giga Drain, new energy was constantly being generated within Darkrai. If it wasn't continuously depleted, it would probably be fully charged again in just a few minutes.
Legendary Pokémon were simply that unreasonable.
