Most of them were vicious by nature. The moment they saw Heiduo, they pounced without a second thought as though they had a grudge against him, making it impossible for him to catch up to Darkrai, who was running ahead.
Left with no choice, Heiduo had Gengar beat them all up.
Only after grinding them into the ground did he learn why they had attacked him.
It was simple.
These Pokémon were among the altar's guards.
They were responsible for driving away outsiders who entered the ruins.
"Then have you been beaten up a lot of times?"
Heiduo wore a strange expression. This was not the first time human outsiders had appeared in these ruins. The game's story began when members of the Dark Team came here and discovered fragments of the Dark Crystal.
That set off a whole chain of events.
