Yunsheng's wedding festivities went on for nearly a week.
Heiduo was hounded by reporters for that entire week, too.
There was no helping it.
They had gotten smarter. They could prove they were there to promote Yunsheng's wedding, then slip in one or two questions for him.
That left Heiduo unable to simply blow up their equipment, no matter how rich he was.
After all, Yunsheng was counting on them to help publicize the event.
So what could he do?
Simple—pretend he hadn't heard them and avoid them.
His media reputation had never been good to begin with, and he rarely paid reporters any attention.
It wasn't that he looked down on the profession. Many reporters were worthy of respect; he just found answering questions troublesome.
Answer one, and another came along. Answer two, and a third popped up.
It always felt like they were paparazzi trying to find out everything about your household registration, how many people lived in your family, and what you had eaten for dinner last night.
Japanese reporters were more or less that sort.
Some would take a mile when you gave them an inch, wearing that smug expression as if they were going to expose you and have everyone curse you out.
Why were the rumors about Heiduo in the media so bad?
Partly because he never responded, and partly because of people like them.
Teng Jun couldn't exactly put all his work aside just to deal with those people for him.
Heiduo himself didn't care, so he simply let it be.
Thus—
On the day the wedding concluded successfully—
Yunsheng hugged him gratefully. "You really helped me out so much."
"Don't mention it. But... good luck. Don't blame your big brother for not warning you."
Heiduo thumped Yunsheng on the back and sighed.
