The altar lit up once more.
Three Pokémon, colored red, yellow, and blue, came into being: Azelf, representing willpower; Mesprit, representing emotion; and Uxie, representing knowledge.
They coexisted within the hearts of humans and Pokémon of the past and future.
Time moved forward again.
Arceus still stood atop the mountain, sleeping with his eyes closed. Yet countless motes of light periodically flew from his body, some lingering in the atmosphere, some plunging into the depths of the sea, and some burrowing into rocks exposed above the water.
Almost in the blink of an eye—
The world suddenly gained some pink, catlike Pokémon.

Afterward—
In the sky, a teal dragon was born. Its roar echoed through the universe as it wound through the ozone layer.
Not far from it, a phoenix with multicolored plumage emerged from flames. With a gentle flap of its wings, a dazzling rainbow trailed behind it.
On the seafloor—
A silver roc broke through the currents and spread its wings into flight.
In the trench below it, a deep-blue giant fish drifted slowly, accompanied by a small creature with a crystalline blue body.
