History
Lord first manifested when Lincon absorbed one hundred dark creatures and unlocked his Career Panel. Although Lincon had believed the Seed Mark was his sole exceptional ability, the panel identified it as his secondary-career talent; Lord was the territorial talent of his main career, Longwind Fortress Guardian. 1 2
Lincon established Longwind Fortress as his territory and discovered that its shrine-marked surroundings appeared on the territorial panel, though he could not manipulate land outside the fortress itself. 2 As his shrine-making, defense, and settlement-building developed, the talent’s role shifted from supporting a lone guardian to supporting a lord with subjects, resources, and territorial authority. 13 44
The first major evolution required Lincon to independently kill a C-Rank Weird Calamity and establish his prestige. He completed the trial by destroying the Pale Wraith, advancing from Longwind Fortress Guardian to Longwind Lord. 44 55 After Longwind City survived its Territory War, the system unlocked the hidden Dark Overlord route; Lincon later entered the Abyss alone, seized the Ant Queen’s Abyssal Core, and completed that advancement. 201 202 231
At Level 60, Lord’s main career offered further Epic paths. Lincon selected Ten-Thousand-Sun Dark Grand Duke, seeking decisive offensive power and preparing to fulfill its requirement of occupying three A-Rank Abyss Rifts and acquiring an Abyssal territory. 460
Abilities & Skills
Territory Designation and Higher-Dimensional Manipulation
Lord allows its holder to establish a sphere of influence as territory and manipulate objects within it through Higher-Dimensional Manipulation. 1 2
- Lincon designated Longwind Fortress as his first territory. 2
- He can move and alter objects inside the territory, comparing the process to manipulating a sandbox-game map. 2
- Establishing territory does not automatically remove Dark Creatures within it. 2
- Shrines beyond the designated territory can appear on the panel but cannot be manipulated through this ability. 2
Rule Edict
After becoming Longwind Lord, Lincon gained the authority to impose one effective rule within his territory each month. 56
- An edict lasts for one month, until replaced or overlapped by another edict. 56 234
- Its effects are limited to the territory covered by the edict. 425
- Lincon’s War Edict at the Great Wall Defense Line reduced Abyssal energy recovery by 50%, increased human energy recovery by 50%, strengthened several combat effects by 30%, and increased Blue Star’s rejection of Abyssal energy. 425
Overlord’s Dominion
The Dark Overlord advancement expands Lord’s authority from territory and subjects to captured dark creatures. 231
- Lincon can apply an Overlord Mark to a captured dark creature, converting it into his own combat force. 231 234
- The ability severs or replaces prior allegiance, as demonstrated when Lincon marked an Ant Guard and renamed it Number One. 231
- The Dark Overlord is unaffected by black mist. 231 234
- Lincon can construct Dark Nests to hatch Abyssal troops. 231 234
Shrine Upgrade
Lord can upgrade symbolically significant shrines within its territory. 234
- Upgraded shrines can carry Lincon’s mental projection, allowing long-distance communication and observation. 234
- A further upgrade can form a Trial Temple beneath a shrine, where the Law of Life is ineffective. 234
- Each Trial Temple requires one Temple Point, earned for every 100,000 Reputation. 235
- Trials within the Temple permit controlled revival: a Carrion Rat revived three times after death before being reset to its original entry position. 235
Territorial Governance
Lord’s purpose is not limited to direct combat. Lincon concludes that a lord is fundamentally a maker of rules and allocator of resources: rather than personally gathering every material or fighting every enemy, he must build a system through which subjects, departments, trade, and production feed strength back into the territory. 257
The Longwind Lord evolution explicitly frames this change as a transition from a warrior defending one location into a ruler supported by subjects and able to mobilize greater talent and resources. 44 Lord’s later structures—including shrines, the Trial Temple, the Garrison Guard, Rune Workshop, Qingrang Academy, and Longwind City’s subject system—reflect this broader territorial role. 125 234 316 367
