Richard:...
Uh, well~
A sheepish smile appeared on his face. Taking advantage of the fact that The Ancient One's folding fan had not yet been raised, he instantly flashed to Asmodeus's side.
"Your name is Asmodeus?"
The male incubator pressed a hand to his chest and bowed. "Indeed I am, and I thank you for saving me, Lord Richard."
Richard rubbed his chin, looked him over carefully, and then asked, "Pardon me for asking, but who are your parents?"
Asmodeus fell silent for a moment before replying respectfully, "My late father was Cranius, King of the Hell Incubus, and my late mother was named Halia. She was merely an ordinary Earthling."
Richard continued to press, "What is your relationship with Mephisto?"
Asmodeus's expression faltered. Lowering his gaze, he answered, "I am merely a plaything of my master, and I dare not presume to claim any relation."
"Is that so?" Richard's expression sank abruptly. "In other words, even if you were to die, Mephisto wouldn't react at all..."
Asmodeus's demonic body stiffened. A thick chill suddenly welled up in his heart, and the slender demonic tail behind him began to twitch uneasily.
He lowered his head and said respectfully, "I... temporarily hold the position of general manager of the Yule Palace."
Richard flicked his fingers, dispersing the crimson mana at his tips, and continued to ask with a smile, "What kind of place is the Yule Palace?"
Asmodeus dared not hide anything further. He could sense that if he concealed anything more, the human sorcerer before him would obliterate him on the spot without the slightest hesitation.
"The Yule Palace is the Hell Sovereign's private paradise. Sometimes he goes there to relax and indulge in pleasure."
*Ha, could it be a hellish version of a pool of wine and a forest
