Background and History

Xie Mingzhe awakens in Star Calendar 3001 after apparently transmigrating into the body of an alternate version of himself. The body shares his name and appearance, but belonged to an eighteen-year-old orphan who had suffered severe brain damage in a fall and remained vegetative for a month. The alternate Xie had earned admission to Imperial Capital University’s Fine Arts Department but lacked the money to cover tuition and living costs. 2 3
