Background / History

Following the Human Emperor's death during his Dao-Proving Tribulation, Supreme Beings awakened from the Restricted Areas. They judged his incomplete fusion of the Lunar and Solar paths, speculated over the crimson radiance he left behind, and began a new Dark Turmoil by devouring living beings across the world. 1

Their interest in Tan Lin persisted after his apparent death. Ancient Supremes used causal formations connected to the Human Emperor Hall and several Restricted Areas to search for him, believing that his survival might reveal an alternative path toward immortality. Tan Lin escaped their designs, infiltrated Undying Mountain, and repeatedly provoked its inhabitants by stealing resources and the Enlightenment Ancient Tea Tree seed. 20 24 48

During the later Dark Turmoil, six Supreme Beings emerged to harvest the heavens. Tan Lin challenged them while completing the Great Accomplishment of his Indestructible Golden Body, ultimately killing Jia Kong and First Light in rapid succession. These deaths shattered the belief that self-severed Supremes were untouchable. 314 324 328

After Tan Lin and the Female Emperor threatened the balance of the Restricted Areas, the Supremes cooperated with the Underworld to use the Transcendent Nether Treasure against the Indestructible Golden Body lineage. Their ritual imposed layered curses intended to obstruct the physique’s future cultivation, Dao Attainment, and longevity. 465 466

Characteristics

• Supreme Beings possess Imperial Dao Laws and can threaten starfields, Great Saints, and Quasi-Emperor-level cultivators with direct attacks or awakened weapons. 317 322

Ultimate Sublimation allows a self-severed Supreme Being to recover a portion of their former peak strength for a limited time.

• Each Supreme Being’s sublimation contains a unique flaw, especially when their vitality is depleted. 323
• Tan Lin’s Inverted All-Causes Vision can identify and interrupt these flaws, preventing Jia Kong, First Light, and Demon Mist from completing the process. 323 328 345

Dark Turmoil Harvesting

Supreme Beings replenish themselves by consuming the life essence, blood, and vitality of living beings.

• Jia Kong intended to devour the Central Plains to recover his declining vitality. 308 322

The Restricted-Area Supremes can act indirectly through artifacts, curses, and manipulation of cosmic law.

• They sought the Underworld’s Transcendent Nether Treasure to alter the laws governing the Indestructible Golden Body lineage. 465 610
• Using Tyrant Body Origin blood as a medium, they established three layered curses aimed at denying the future existence and cultivation of the physique. 466
