Background / History

The Primordial Era was an age in which humanity was weakened and oppressed by foreign races. Tan Lin’s third life took place during this period: born with the Human King Battle Body, he cultivated both the Lunar and Solar Scriptures and used a Yin-Yang Divine Millstone to temper his physique. 1

At age 2,100, Tan Lin crossed into the Quasi-Emperor realm and founded the Human Emperor Hall in the Big Dipper’s Central Region. Under his leadership, humanity fought the myriad races and recovered much of its standing. 1

The era’s final period was marked by the Human Emperor’s failed attempt to complete Dao attainment. Though he had grasped part of the imperial Dao laws and was recognized as humanity’s closest candidate for the path of lunar-solar harmony, he was ambushed by Xiaoyao Heavenly Venerable and struck by the Undying Heavenly Emperor. His body, Dao Fruit, blood essence, and Primordial Spirit were divided among his enemies, while only a remnant of his true soul escaped. 1 2

Cultivation and Warfare

The era’s most famous cultivation ideal was the harmonious fusion of Lunar and Solar power. Perfecting both Immortal Scriptures was believed capable of transforming a cultivator into a Chaos Body; the Human Emperor used a shortcut that allowed the two forces to coexist, but did not achieve true balance. 1 45

• The Yin-Yang Mill Scripture was Tan Lin’s foundational method for cultivating Lunar and Solar power together. Its complete form was never widely transmitted because it remained imperfect. 19 45
• The Human Emperor’s forces trained soldiers across multiple realms rather than relying only on elite cultivators. Dragon Transformation cultivators were treated as essential battlefield formations and prospective junior generals. 27
• The highest proving ground of the Human Emperor’s Drill Tower was originally where he attempted to deduce true yin-yang harmony; after failing, he converted it into a trial site for his strongest generals. 36

• Human Emperor / Tan Lin — Human King Body cultivator, founder of Human Emperor Hall, and the era’s foremost practitioner of both Lunar and Solar power. His fall became one of the defining catastrophes of the age. 1

• Human Emperor Hall — Founded during the era as humanity’s central power. It later retained the Human Emperor Banner and became the focal point of attempts to locate or control Tan Lin’s surviving soul. 1 15 40
• Human Emperor’s Drill Ground — A ten-layer training tower and former Weapon-Refining Ground built as a military outpost and proving ground. Each layer corresponds to a cultivation realm and imposes trials suited to it. 17 27
• Human Emperor Banner — Originally a battle banner wielded by Tan Lin as the Human King. After his death, a fragment of his true soul entered it and formed a divine spirit capable of gathering the souls of fallen human heroes. 16
• Underground Lunar-Solar Palace — Tan Lin’s former cultivation retreat, constructed around seven Lunar Star Cores, seven Solar Star Cores, and a Yin-Yang Mill Formation Diagram. 19
• Heavenly Mystic Ancient Clan Secret Land — A secluded small world linked to the Drill Tower by the Mystic Platform. It was known to Tian Ling and later became one of Tan Lin’s concealed sites for storing resources for reincarnation. 22 31

• The Primordial Era’s surviving restrictions were so formidable that numerous cultivators and major factions required seven days and nights to break into the Human Emperor’s old site. 16
• The Human Emperor’s Banner retained the voices and battle souls of countless soldiers and generals, whose cries of “Victory” continued to echo long after the era ended. 15
• The era’s lunar-solar cultivation legacy remained influential but dangerous: later practitioners could use fragments of Tan Lin’s methods, yet even gifted successors risked qi deviation or incomplete foundations. 44 45
