Once the Star Road opened, the Divine Light Platform vanished with Jiang Yun and his companions. The starry sky around Earth returned to its old silence, as it had been for millions of years.

During their passage through the void, time itself seemed to blur. Sometimes it stretched endlessly; sometimes it seemed to race by. Everything felt suspended. Without their senses, time had no meaning at all.

If they had not been able to communicate through divine sense, the silent journey would have been unbearably dull. Only now and then did a thread of light flash through the darkness. There was no knowing where it began or where the journey would end.

After an unknown span of time, the boundless darkness slowly receded. A brilliant Star Sea shone ahead. They had reached the end of the Star Road, and everything around them grew real again.

Zixia's and Yan Ruyu's eyes lit up. They both sensed the Big Dipper's aura, so familiar and dear to them. Even from far away, they could feel the waves the Burial Emperor Star sent through the cosmic void.

Ripples spread through space. Daoist rhythms intertwined and order danced as they dropped out of the void. This brief passage through a Domain Gate was nothing like interstellar travel.

Fortunately, they had plenty of experience. Divine light bloomed around Jiang Yun, and vital essence poured from him, enveloping the others to protect them against any mishap. All these years, someone had always been watching the space beyond the Big Dipper in secret.

The Star Road behind them disappeared, leaving a deathly still scene in its place. Meteors lay scattered everywhere. Farther in, a colossal meteor floated through the cold universe like an Ancient Battle Platform.

It was sturdy and undying, as though it
