Jiang Yun secretly mused that even if he were to break into Heaven through this opening, his current strength would be more than enough.
However, just as he was about to step inside, laws intertwined like invisible blades and came crashing down upon him.
"Boom! Rumble!!"
Jiang Yun's expression turned grave. After only a brief contact, he keenly sensed just how terrifying the power of the laws here was. Even an Emperor Light Immortal King might not be able to endure it.
Yet this did not make Jiang Yun retreat. He charged straight in.
With a thunderous boom, as though Heaven and Earth were being cleaved apart, he barreled through the mysterious passage.
After an unknown amount of time, he finally felt solid ground beneath his feet. Looking closely, he found himself standing on a tiny reef no more than a zhang across.
The reef stood alone in this brand-new world.
Jiang Yun looked around, only to find the surroundings utterly silent, the dead stillness enough to make one's scalp tingle.
Scarlet liquid, red as blood and seemingly alive, spread wantonly across the land and flowed sluggishly onward.
At times, it gathered into winding rivers. At others, it formed placid lakes concealing turbulent undercurrents. In the distance, it even resembled a boundless sea of blood.
Within this crimson world, enormous tomb mounds rose abruptly above the scarlet waters. Though not completely submerged, they seemed on the verge of collapsing, as if the dreadful bloodwater would swallow them at any moment.
At this moment, a blood-red dusk shrouded the earth. The setting sun was like blood, and its lingering rays dyed the entire world an even deeper crimson.
The bloodwater converged into rivers and flooded freely across the burial grounds. Everywhere the eye could see was a shocking expanse of red.
