Alice used a drone to monitor the area around the bus the entire way, issuing an early warning if she detected any danger.
Fortunately, the journey was smooth, and no accidents occurred when they arrived at Fantasy Children's Park.
A sign announcing a temporary closure had already been hung outside the park. Inside, the place was filled with extras and production crew members.
Once Rosalie and the other actors had entered the makeup room and finished getting ready, Caleb announced the official start of filming.
"Act One, Scene One, Action!"
At Caleb's command, the entire crew immediately sprang into action.
The first scene was Joanna Perry, played by Rosalie, finally finding work as a mascot performer at Dreamland Children's Park after being unemployed for half a year.
Then, because she had fallen behind on rent, she and her son Gale were kicked out by their landlord and had no choice but to move into the park's staff dormitory together.
This scene was quite a test of Rosalie's acting skills.
She had to portray, layer by layer, the grief and helplessness of a single mother driven into bankruptcy and unemployment, the joy of finding a job, and the shame and disappointment of being thrown out by her landlord.
The old Rosalie definitely would not have been able to pull it off. Caleb would have needed to guide her step by step as the entire crew waited for her to slowly work through it.
But after Alice's training, Rosalie's acting had improved tremendously, and she nailed the entire scene in one take.
Mark also captured Gale's innocence and naivety, but everyone else simply thought he was acting naturally and paid little attention to it.
"CUT! Clap, clap, clap! Rosalie, well done!"
After the scene was finished, Caleb happily began applauding.
Whether sincere or not, the rest of the crew could only join in.
Originally, he had only decided to cast Rosalie as the female lead because of Mark.
But the acting Rosalie displayed this time came as a pleasant surprise.
Thanks to Rosalie's outstanding performance, filming progressed rapidly, and they completed eight scenes in a single morning.
When the crew had finished lunch in the afternoon and was preparing to resume filming, more than a dozen young and middle-aged men of varying skin tones, dressed in suits and leather shoes, shoved aside the staff trying to stop them and barged onto the set.
Caleb could only helplessly pause filming and prepare to go negotiate with them.
"Dangerous targets detected! Dangerous targets detected!"
The moment those men appeared, Alice immediately sent an alert to Rosalie and Mark through their earpieces.
The two were startled, and Mark hurriedly pulled a display screen from the messenger bag slung behind him.
Alice projected images captured by the drone onto the display.
They clearly showed holsters and gun grips faintly visible at the backs of the men's waists as they walked.
Rosalie and Mark immediately became alert when they saw them, turning to look for cover nearby.
Mark secretly put on insulated gloves, ready at any moment to take a stun gun from his bag and defend himself.
However, after barging onto the set, the men made no other moves. They merely looked around with great interest, and some even took out their phones to record videos.
Caleb went over and exchanged a few words with the leading young white man, then pulled out a stack of cash and handed it to him.
The young white man appeared quite courteous. After taking the cash, he shook Caleb's hand and left with his men.
Only after seeing them leave did Rosalie and Mark finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"What rotten luck! The gangs in New York are completely lawless!"
Even after returning, Caleb was still cursing under his breath.
The major film companies in Hollywood were powerful, with strong finances, legal teams, and security. Ordinary gangs did not dare provoke them, much less demand protection money from them.
But the crew was unfamiliar with New York, and faced with the extortion of those gang members, Caleb could only grit his teeth and accept it.
"All right! Let's continue filming!"
Only after calming down did Caleb announce that filming would resume.
Everyone on the crew thought the matter was over and returned to the afternoon shoot.
But they did not know that the gang members who had just collected their protection money had not gone far.
The moment they left Dreamland Children's Park, they stopped.
The leading young white man took out a high-definition camera and snapped dozens of photos in the direction of the film crew.
Half an hour later, the young white man entered an office building, took the elevator to the top floor, and entered an office.
"Boss!"
He bowed respectfully to a fat middle-aged white man seated behind the desk.
This middle-aged man was named Derek Wade, the leader of the Blackfire Gang.
The Blackfire Gang was a mid-sized gang in New York, with more than two hundred members controlling two nearby blocks. Its main businesses were drug trafficking, prostitution, and human trafficking.
Any women they trafficked were first controlled with drugs, then taken to entertainment establishments under their command for prostitution.
"Damir, have you found out everything about that film crew?"
Derek took a puff of his cigar and questioned the young white man before him.
"Boss, I've already had people look into it. The Bell Film Company behind this crew is only a small-to-medium-sized film company in Hollywood, and none of the actors are major stars."
Damir reported the information he had gathered to Derek.
Then he handed over the camera in his hand, wearing a knowing smile. "The women in that crew are all quite good-looking, with very hot figures too."
Derek took the camera and casually swiped across the screen with his finger.
"These women may not be big stars, but they are still public figures. If anything happens to them, it could easily attract public attention. We have to be cautious if we want to make a move against them. We can't let it lead back to the Blackfire Gang..."
Derek spoke casually.
Although the women in the photos were all beautiful, he had seen and played with far too many women for them to draw much of his interest.
But when he reached the final photo of Rosalie and saw Mark standing beside her, Derek's eyes immediately lit up.
"Oh, my God! This child is so beautiful, just like an angel!"
He immediately beckoned Damir over excitedly, pointed at Mark's photo, and asked, "What's this child's name? Tell me everything about him!"
"He should be the son of this actress named Rosalie. As for his exact name, I don't know."
Damir first shook his head, then gave Derek a strange look. "Should I have someone look into it?"
Previously, he had focused entirely on the women in the crew. He had only photographed Mark incidentally and had not asked anyone to investigate his identity.
He had never expected Derek, who had always only liked women, to suddenly take an interest in a little boy.
