Background / History
Mark was an adult from another world who awoke as a newborn at Thomas Clinic in San Fernando Valley, retaining his memories but initially constrained by an infant's undeveloped brain. He soon learned that his mother, Rosalie Payne, claimed billionaire Tony Stark was his father. Mark treated the claim skeptically, but recognized Rosalie's devotion when she abandoned her public campaign after Stark Group threatened to separate them. 1 3
Sunlight activated a system tied to a Superman comic from his previous life. The system grants Sunlight Value for exposure to sunlight and allows him to upgrade Superman-like powers. Mark initially earned roughly one point every five minutes, but Rosalie and Daphne repeatedly kept him out of the sun for his health, making his early growth slow. 1 2 4
Rosalie's commercial work and Mark's unusual cooperation gradually improved their circumstances. His success as a child actor helped Rosalie leave their unsafe neighborhood for Clem District, while increased outdoor access accelerated his Super Brain's development. Over time, Mark stopped viewing Rosalie merely as a caretaker and accepted her as his true mother. 7 8
Appearance
Mark is an exceptionally attractive blond boy with fair skin and sapphire-blue eyes. His appearance is repeatedly compared to that of an angel and becomes a major reason for his early success in commercials and public attention. 5 6 7
- Blond hair and blue eyes resembling Tony Stark's features. 47
- Snow-white, rosy, unusually soft skin. 7 46
- Chubby cheeks and an outwardly harmless, well-behaved demeanor. 5 32
- Maintains the appearance of an ordinary child despite adult-level intellect and superhuman strength. 45 50
Personality
Mark is analytical, cautious, and intensely focused on survival. His knowledge of the dangers awaiting in the Marvel Universe makes him distrustful of institutions, criminals, and even public attention; he responds by accumulating wealth, developing technology, and building layered security around the people under his protection. 16 31 33
He is also pragmatic about secrecy. Mark deliberately presents himself as an unusually gifted but still rebellious child, concealing his adult mentality, the origin of his powers, and much of his technical capability. When Rosalie discovers his abilities, he tells her he is a Mutant while withholding the sunlight system itself. 12 50
Despite his calculating nature, Mark is fiercely loyal. Rosalie's care transforms their relationship into a genuine mother-son bond, and threats against her can provoke his most decisive actions. He extends similar protection to Li Qianhuan and Li Qianle after learning of their circumstances. 8 26 37
Abilities & Skills
Sunlight-Based System
Mark's primary advantage is a system that converts sunlight exposure into Sunlight Value, which he spends to improve powers.
- Initially gains about one Sunlight Value every five minutes in direct sunlight. 2
- Requires increasingly large amounts of Sunlight Value for later upgrades. 30 44 45
- Reaching Level 10 in one power unlocks another; the system claims that fully unlocking its powers could grant strength comparable to or beyond Superman's. 2 44
- Mark uses private flights around the world because sunlight collection is substantially faster at altitude. 41 44
Super Brain
Super Brain enhances Mark's intelligence, memory, calculation speed, learning ability, and mental perception.
- Restores his memories from before reincarnation and reduces his need for sleep. 4
- Grants near-perfect recall and allows rapid self-study of mathematics, physics, biology, programming, and engineering. 8 12
- Enables extreme predictive shooting; under pressure, Mark can calculate trajectories and land consecutive shots with a stun gun. 25 26
- At Level 10, his cognition becomes so fast that outside events appear to move in slow motion; this does not actually manipulate time. 44
- Does not grant physical resilience by itself; before unlocking Super Physique, Mark remained vulnerable to illness, bullets, and direct attack. 16 26
Super Physique
Super Physique strengthens Mark's muscles, organs, senses, durability, stamina, lungs, and disease resistance.
- At Level 1, he can lift one end of a double bed, outrun athletic adults, and catch a falling flight attendant without being pushed back. 45
- At Level 5, he can generate over a ton of force with one hand and overturn a small sedan with both hands. 46
- His enhanced hearing allows him to overhear conversations across a noisy hotel ballroom; his eyes adapt rapidly to darkness. 46 48
- His skin resists an ordinary adult's knife strike, but he acknowledges that gunfire can still injure him. 46
- He used this strength to overpower the Extremis-enhanced Lucas Kane and save Tony Stark during the Intercontinental Hotel incident. 48
Hacking and Cyberwarfare
Mark is an elite hacker who combines Super Brain's learning capacity with Alice's processing power.
- He infiltrates the CAA database and accesses Cathy Dale's private information after less than a month of studying network technology. 9
- He temporarily disconnects JARVIS from a computer, prompting JARVIS to identify him as one of the world's top hackers. 12
- He resists a coordinated attack by three S.H.I.E.L.D.-affiliated hackers, then builds Alice rather than remain dependent on JARVIS. 13
- He gathers video evidence against the Blackfire Gang, anonymously delivers it to police, and triggers raids on its criminal businesses. 23
- With Level 9 Super Brain and Alice, he defeats S.H.I.E.L.D.'s renewed attempt to trace him and redirects its hackers into uncovering evidence against the Latin Gang. 43
Engineering and Software Development
Mark applies his knowledge to software, artificial intelligence, surveillance, games, and weapons.
- Created Alice, a humanlike intelligent program that manages surveillance, cybersecurity, analysis, and household systems. 13 33
- Developed video-generation and voice-reading programs to help Rosalie prepare for Dreamland Children's Park. 14
- Created Stardew Valley, Myth of Heroes, and Panda Chat; the success of his games finances Payne Games, Alice's hardware, and his security infrastructure. 16 40 41
- Modifies stun guns into lethal weapons capable of defeating ordinary attackers and enhanced enemies. 19 28 31
- Recognizes the danger of being recorded in combat and considers electromagnetic interference devices to counter surveillance. 49
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Alice — Mark's artificial intelligence, displayed as a blonde girl; controls drones, analyzes data, protects networks, and manages the household's security systems. 13 33

- Tony Stark — Mark's alleged biological father; JARVIS calculates an 83% probability of paternity, while Rosalie later confirms the claim to guests. Tony refuses public acknowledgment but repeatedly protects Mark in secret. 12 27 32 44
- Daphne — Rosalie's friend, nurse, and Mark's early caregiver. Her attempts to protect him from sunlight unintentionally delay his growth. 2 4 5
- Alice — Mark's self-created AI and closest technological partner. She functions as his cybersecurity specialist, surveillance operator, household assistant, and emergency support. 13 23 33
- Li Qianhuan / Jubilee Lee — A plasma-controlling Mutant recruited by Mark after he discovers her living in poverty. He offers her protection, employment, scientific training, and a place in his household. 35 37
- Li Qianle — Qianhuan's younger sister. Mark arranges her shelter, foster-care status, schooling, and security alongside her sister. 36 37
