"It's all right-the rain's too heavy right now. Let me drive you back!"
Leonard gave a somewhat bitter smile.
The moment he saw Banner, he knew he no longer had a chance.
He then drove the two of them to Betty's home before leaving, dejected.
The next day, Banner and Betty got out of bed, dressed, and went for a stroll around campus.
They both reminisced about the happy times they had shared.
Just then, Banner's phone rang.
He picked it up and glanced at the screen. It was Mark calling.
"Hey, Mark-"
Banner was about to ask what was going on, but Mark cut him off in a grave voice. "Banner, General Ross knows you're here. A large force of soldiers is moving in to surround Culver University."
Mark had only discovered General Ross's movements after receiving a warning from Alice.
It also confirmed his suspicion: the news of Betty and Leonard's engagement had clearly been posted online as a trap for Banner.
"Banner, what's wrong?"
Seeing Banner's expression turn grim, Betty hurriedly asked what had happened.
"Your father's here!"
Banner pushed Betty aside and ran toward the hill behind campus.
He had parked the Alien Spaceship in that direction. As long as he could get aboard, he could escape.
But before transforming into Hulk, Banner was just an ordinary man.
Even though he ran with all his might, a large number of armed soldiers soon surrounded him, trapping him on a pedestrian bridge on campus.
Then more than a dozen armored vehicles drove toward Banner's position.
Betty ran over and spread her arms, blocking the armored vehicles.
"Dad, please let Banner go!"
She shouted at the lead armored vehicle.
The vehicle stopped, and General Ross stepped out.
He barely glanced at Betty, simply ordering two soldiers to restrain
