Mark used his intelligence and growing wealth to build Alice, launch Stardew Valley, and protect Rosalie as they pursued her acting career in New York. After he uncovered the Blackfire Gang’s crimes and the gang targeted him for kidnapping, Mark and Rosalie faced an armed assault on the film set.
After surviving gang attacks and protecting the Li sisters, Mark built his game company, traveled to upgrade his abilities, and saved Tony Stark from Lucas Kane. The arc ended with Mark revealing Li Qianhuan’s mutant powers to Rosalie and recognizing the danger they could pose.
Mark took control of Future Pharmaceuticals, acquired the Dragon Bone Fragment, and built a team while battling the Hand and Trask Industries. The arc ended with Future Pharmaceuticals’ controversial human trial curing eighteen patients, including Daphne’s mother, while two volunteers died.
Mark built Payne Group, strengthened his powers, and intervened in a series of crises, from rescuing Lina in Thailand to destroying Eric Epstein’s human-trafficking operation. He recruited Wanda and Pietro after saving them in Sokovia and brought them, along with Dalia, to Payne Manor.
Mark built his public identity as Superman, expanded his film company, and exposed the truth about Eric while preparing for the Dragon Bone. After a failed attempt to break the Hand’s seal, he befriended Tony and traveled to Bangkok to find Orson Randall.
Mark secured Dragon Bone for Future Pharmaceuticals, expanded Payne Group, and recruited Laura Kinney after exposing Trask Industries’ cloning crimes. He then stopped Hulk and brought Bruce Banner to Payne Manor, where Banner reunited with Brandon.
Mark built Payne Aerospace into a major satellite and space-station operation while developing his powers and using his Superman identity to rescue people. After enrolling at Columbia and building Ultron with Tony, Mark confronted Amora and was transported to Jotunheim, where he fought beside Thor before returning to Asgard.
Mark returned from Asgard with Amora, fought the Gazers Organization, and expanded Payne Group through phones and aerospace technology. After Banner transformed into Hulk during an FBI raid, Mark confronted him while General Ross’s forces closed in.
Mark rescued Tony from Afghanistan, then helped him survive Obadiah's betrayal and his palladium poisoning. As Tony joined the Avengers, Banner reunited with Betty, but General Ross's attempt to capture him triggered another Hulk rampage.
