The Guardian Tower was part of the network connected to the Guardian Barrier above the city. There were thirty-six such towers throughout Qingzhou Prefecture City.
This tower had been built inside the Demon Suppression Bureau, partly so that they could guard it.
Its base covered four or five mu, and it stood over thirty zhang tall. Judging by the windows and projecting eaves, it had more than a dozen floors.
The Demon Suppression Bureau had allocated it as a place for its Demon Extermination Guards to rest and live. It was considerably safer than his little courtyard on Prefecture Front Street.
