Monkey, whom Meng Qi had transformed into, reached out a paw and held back the excited Su Lin. "Someone's here!"
Su Lin froze. He stepped out through the mountain gate, walked back in, then retreated another two steps.
From outside, the place looked like a long-abandoned, crumbling temple overgrown with weeds. But step through the gate, and it became an Immortal Paradise on earth.
What was going on? Separate worlds inside and out? The Journey to the West World still had experts at this level?
Su Lin was surprised, but he straightened his kasaya and smiled as he bowed to the two dazed Daoist boys. "Amitabha. This humble monk is Tang Sanzang, come from the Great Tang in the Eastern Land. My impatient eldest disciple behaved rashly just now. Forgive his discourtesy."
Meng Qi turned to look at him. He had been privately mocking the monk for embarrassing himself, only for Su Lin to shove the blame onto him.
Feeling the two Daoist boys' eyes on him, he tightened his grip on the Golden Cudgel, then finally let it loosen.
Fine. There are people around. I'll let that bald donkey save face.
For some reason, once that thought arose, Meng Qi found he had mastered a few more divine abilities. He now knew more than half of the Seventy-Two Transformations.
"I'm Qingfeng." The boy on the left bowed.
"I'm Mingyue." The boy on the right looked a little odd, but hurriedly bowed as well.
"Is Great Immortal Zhen Yuanzi in the temple?" Su Lin asked, though his gaze swept across the Immortal Paradise that was Wuzhuang Temple.
Shi Hao was doing the same.
But something here—some restriction, or perhaps some wondrous power—confined their Divine Soul senses to the space immediately around them.
Zhenyuanzi, the Ancestor of Earth Immortals.
