After sleeping until the afternoon of the next day and having eaten, Zhang Jun pulled up the surveillance footage, edited it into a video a little over three minutes long, added captions, and posted it on the "The Ponies' Daily Life" account.

The video began with Shadow Hunter quietly grazing, unusually calm, for around thirty seconds.

Then came a clip of Shadow Hunter eating hay in his stall at night before suddenly kicking the wall and whinnying. It lasted over ten seconds.

Next came two minutes of Zhang Jun rushing into the stall and soothing Shadow Hunter, a scene of a man and horse "talking"—though there was no sound, Zhang Jun had added subtitles showing everything he said.

"Sweetheart, you didn't lose. You and Feet on the Ground both took first place. You were co-champions!"

"Co-champions means both of you came first. Neither of you lost or won."

"You ran equally fast and crossed the finish line at the same time, so you're both champions."

After that came footage of Shadow Hunter raising his head and letting out a long neigh after hearing the explanation.

Zhang Jun wrote: This kid never overtook his opponent like he had in previous races, so he kept thinking he'd lost. He bottled it up and refused to say anything, then spent the middle of the night alone in his stall kicking and stomping around. He had us worried for ages.

The final ten seconds showed everyone's stunned expressions after learning the truth, then them pointing at Shadow Hunter and bursting into laughter, followed by Shadow Hunter turning away in a huff.

Less than an hour after the video was posted, the comments exploded.
