Tai Yi's gaze was sharp as a blade, locking fiercely onto Zhunti's golden body. With a downward pounce, Tai Yi streaked across the sky like a golden bolt of lightning, moving too fast for the eye to follow.
Zhunti's golden body was towering and solemn, radiating golden light and a sacred aura. It looked exactly like Zhunti, with a benevolent face and gentle eyes, as though it were a true Buddha. Yet this golden body was actually a protective treasure condensed by Zhunti using Magic Power, indestructible and unbreakable.
Tai Yi descended before Zhunti's golden body, extending his three sharp golden claws like swords. One claw shot directly toward the golden body's arm, so fast it happened in the blink of an eye. Tai Yi's strength and speed had reached their peak, as though he could tear heaven and earth apart.
The instant Tai Yi's claw struck the golden body's arm, immense power erupted. The arm immediately became brittle, like fragile glass. The sound of the golden body cracking echoed through the air, as though the entire world had trembled.
Tai Yi moved with thunderous swiftness, his power as mighty as mountains, leaving all who saw it stunned. His golden wings beat fiercely, howling winds rising as golden light flickered between them. His body darted nimbly through the air like a divine bird soaring freely through the skies.
Zhunti's golden body was stunned by Tai Yi's attack for a moment, then quickly regained its composure. A trace of resolve flashed across its brow as it returned to its original form, condensing once more into a golden Buddha. Its gaze grew more solemn, as though it were considering how to deal with Tai Yi's overwhelming assault.
Tai Yi flapped his wings, moving so quickly that it was simply staggering. He transformed into a streak of light and charged at Zhunti's golden Buddha, intending to seize the chance to destroy him! Zhunti's golden body spun rapidly, golden lotus petals drifting down with boundless force.
Tai Yi was fast, but he still failed to evade those golden lotus petals. The petals struck his body, instantly blooming into clusters of golden sparks. Tai Yi was enveloped by the petals, his movement slowing slightly, followed immediately by dozens more golden lotus petals shooting toward him.
Tai Yi roared, and the surrounding void began to twist and collapse. He opened his mouth and spat out a mass of blazing fire, which met the golden lotus petals head-on. With a thunderous boom, the flames collided with the golden petals, bursting forth with dazzling light. Then the two utterly opposing flames canceled each other out, both vanishing into the void.
Blood trickled from the corner of Zhunti's mouth, and his face was pale as paper. His golden body swayed slightly.
Tai Yi did not have it easy either. Zhunti was, after all, a genuine quasi-saint powerhouse. How many years had he cultivated for? In terms of cultivation, he was even stronger than ordinary quasi-saints. So although Tai Yi had held the advantage and injured Zhunti earlier, that exchange still hurt quite a bit.
"Hahaha..." Tai Yi suddenly laughed. "Zhunti, you truly are extraordinary."
"Amitabha Buddha—" Zhunti softly invoked the Buddha's name and looked calmly at Tai Yi. "Demon Emperor, you are no ordinary opponent either. If I had not prepared beforehand, I fear I would have fallen into your hands today."
Tai Yi snorted coldly. "Enough nonsense. Today, I want to see how you intend to stop me." As he spoke, Tai Yi dove down once more, all three sharp claws thrusting out together. Zhunti did not dare be careless, focusing completely as he unleashed his most terrifying attack.
Tai Yi dismissed it with contempt. No matter how fierce and sharp Zhunti's attacks were, they could not even touch a single hair on him.
The more Tai Yi fought, the braver he became. He only wanted to end the battle as quickly as possible. Thus, he held nothing back and unleashed his most powerful killing move.
Flecks of black flame glimmered on Tai Yi's three claws, every strike containing endless might.
Tai Yi's body became an afterimage, his speed unbelievably fast. His claws flashed with cold light in the void like peerless divine weapons, sending chills through the heart.
Tai Yi's attacks were violent, swift, domineering, and fierce. Yet Zhunti, as one of the Western Realm's only two quasi-saints, was no weakling. Not only did he hold on, he even found an opportunity to strike Tai Yi with a staff.
That strike came from the Six Roots Pure Bamboo, leaving Tai Yi mentally dazed for a moment. Seizing the opportunity, Zhunti swiftly counterattacked, directly ramming Tai Yi with his golden body. However, the Six Roots Pure Bamboo had little effect on a peak quasi-saint.
Thus, Tai Yi played along and shattered three more of Zhunti's heads with a single claw. Jieyin said, "Junior Brother, this is merely a dispute over pride. Admit defeat."
Zhunti was willing to take advice and immediately conceded, leaving Tai Yi unable to continue attacking.
