Afterward, Hongyun raised two fingers and declared, "Heavenly Dao above, I, Hongyun, have an inspiration today. I shall establish a sect for the Demon Race to enlighten all beings. The Demon Sect is established!"
"Rumble!" The Heavenly Dao responded, bestowing a vast amount of Merit. Hongyun merged the Primordial Violet Qi with this Merit from establishing the sect and successfully became a Saint of the Heavenly Dao.
"Boom!" Within the Great Desolation, all beings suddenly felt a wave of pressure. They saw purple qi arriving from the east for thirty thousand miles, radiating Saintly Might. Everyone sensed that Hongyun had become a Saint.
In the Five Villages View, Zhenyuanzi's eyes welled up with tears. "Old friend," he said, "you have finally become a Saint." He then wiped his tears and instructed, "Qingfeng, pick twenty Ginseng Fruits and take them to the Heavenly Court to see your Uncle-Master Hongyun."
Qingfeng accepted the order and, calling for Mingyue to join him, went to the backyard with a golden fruit-picking stick to gather the fruits.
Meanwhile, in the Sea of Blood, Minghe was tearing his hair out in frustration. "It's a pity that the Primordial Violet Qi isn't in this old ancestor's hands. Otherwise, I too should have become a Saint."
On Mount Kunlun, Yuanshi stroked his beard. "What a brilliant plan. By having Hongyun establish a sect for the Demon Race, it naturally means the sect will lean towards the Demon Race. And Hongyun is such a good-hearted person, he won't interfere with the Demon Race's governance. Such a scheme is terrifyingly profound."
Tong Tian's view, however, was: "The Demon Race is quite generous. Di Jun didn't directly snatch Hongyun's Primordial Violet Qi for himself to become a Saint."
Lao Zi remarked, "Neither of you has grasped the main point. Even that lucky Hongyun has become a Saint, while Jieyin and Zhunti are still stuck as Quasi-Saints."
At Lao Zi's reminder, Yuanshi and Tong Tian finally remembered that the two from the West were still inactive.
This was a situation of some rejoicing and some sorrow. On Mount Sumeru, Jieyin was so worried that his hair was nearly falling out. His junior brother Zhunti had gone to Buzhou Mountain and had never been heard from again. Now, even Hongyun had become a Saint, and he still hadn't returned. Where on earth was he trying to go?
With this thought, Jieyin immediately rushed to Zixiao Palace, intending to meet the Dao Ancestor and seek guidance.
Inside Zixiao Palace, Jieyin wore a distressed expression and bowed. "Greetings, Dao Ancestor. My junior brother Zhunti is lost..."
Hong Jun's expression changed, and he said with some exasperation, "What did you say? Zhunti is lost? What happened?" As he spoke, he scanned the Great Desolation with his divine sense, but found nothing.
Hong Jun then slowly asked, "Tell me in detail, what exactly happened with Zhunti being lost?"
Jieyin explained, "That day, after the sermon at Nuwa Palace, we had a minor conflict with the lineage of the Demon Emperor and the three senior brothers from Mount Kunlun. We were beaten... Then, junior brother Zhunti wanted to scheme against them, so he went to the Witch Clan to try and trick them into dealing with the Three Pure Ones, and then he went missing."
Hong Jun nodded. "So that's how it is. But what were you thinking, trying to incite the Witch Clan against the Three Pure Ones? Three Saints! Do you think the Witch Clan would dare to court such misfortune? Don't be ridiculous."
Jieyin said helplessly, "Dao Ancestor, we are your registered disciples after all. That lucky Hongyun has even reached Sainthood. Where is our path to becoming a Saint?"
Hong Jun shook his head. "Foolish child, the Dao must be comprehended by oneself. I can guide you on offensive spells, but the Dao itself can only be followed according to one's own heart. As for the method of becoming a Saint, it's the same as Nuwa's... It shouldn't be difficult to replicate, right? I'll go and retrieve Zhunti first."
With that, Hong Jun arrived before Pangu Hall and announced, "Esteemed Ancestor Witches, Hong Jun is here to visit. Please come out and meet me."
Shortly after, Dijiang emerged with the other Ancestor Witches. "What business do you have here? Our Witch Clan only respects Father God and has never received any favor from you, Hong Jun. Although our youngest sister went to listen to the sermon, she owes you nothing, Hong Jun, and your teachings have nothing to do with us."
Hong Jun said calmly, "Is Zhunti being held within Pangu Hall by you? He is a person destined to become a Saint, and also my registered disciple. You should release him."
Houtu smiled. "Dao Ancestor has come to ask for someone. Strictly speaking, our Witch Clan should give you face, but... this matter concerns our Witch Clan's breakthrough. Within ten thousand years, we will release Zhunti. Is that acceptable?" (Zhunti's inner monologue: Dao Ancestor, Senior Brother, please save me! After ten thousand years, my origins will probably be scattered.)
