Ye Xishui appears to be a woman around thirty, with youthful fair skin and an outwardly composed, magnetic presence. Her pale hands are marked by unnaturally dark-red, hooked nails. 10 15 16

Background

Ye Xishui is the Death God Douluo, one of the Douluo Continent’s only three remaining Limit Douluos and a leading figure within the Holy Spirit Cult. She is also stated to be the only person unaffected by the “Love Continent” influence. 10

She has been entangled with Dragon Emperor Douluo Long Xiaoyao for an entire lifetime. Her son, Zhongli Wu, is the current leader of the Holy Spirit Cult; Zhongli Wu’s father was the cult’s former sect leader, Zhongli Laogui. 10

Personality

Ye Xishui is observant, self-assured, and commanding. After sensing an ultimate-attribute Limit Douluo’s aura near the Evil Demon Forest, she immediately ordered Zhongli Wu to stabilize the Holy Spirit Cult while she investigated with Long Xiaoyao. 10

Her interest in exceptional power readily turns possessive. While questioning Lin Xuan, she became fascinated by the Nihility Devouring Flame’s devouring property and attempted to seize both Lin Xuan and Wang Qiu’er in order to obtain it. 16

Investigation of the Evil Demon Forest Disturbance

After the activation of Lin Xuan’s ice sword produced an immense ultimate-ice aura, Ye Xishui identified it as the presence of a Limit Douluo. She left the Holy Spirit Cult headquarters with Long Xiaoyao to investigate, delegating control of the cult to Zhongli Wu. 10

Confrontation with Lin Xuan

Ye Xishui encountered Lin Xuan and Wang Qiu’er near the edge of the Evil Demon Forest after they killed the Hundred-Thousand-Year Evil Eye Tyrant. Intrigued by two ringless Soul Emperors accomplishing such a feat, she questioned their origins. 15

After Lin Xuan revealed the Nihility Devouring Flame, Ye Xishui sought to take the pair away to claim the flame. Her attempt was interrupted by Ice Empress’s Emperor’s Palm, Snowless Glacial Cold and the arrival of an emerald-green rescuer. 16

Battle Against the Ice and Snow Emperors

Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao fought the Ice Empress and Snow Empress in the Evil Demon Forest. Ye Xishui used her Blood Soul Demon Puppet, Deathly Silence—Heaven-Extinguishing Light, and Sorrow of the Demon Kui, while Long Xiaoyao repeatedly protected her from the Empresses’ attacks. 16 17 18

The Ice and Snow Emperors ultimately used Pride of the Ice and Snow Emperors, forcing Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao to escape. Ye Xishui severed one of her arms during the retreat, leaving behind an approximately eighty-to-ninety-thousand-year Soul Bone. 18 25
