Background / History
Before Shui Wuyou took control, the God of Asura allegedly siphoned away one-third of Douluo Star's origin and destiny, transferring it to Tang San. Snow Empress states that continued extraction would weaken the world, cause disasters, cap cultivation at Level 99, and prevent both godhood for its inhabitants and the planet's ascension 39.
After becoming a Titled Douluo, Shui Wuyou used the Origin Demon Martial Soul to forcibly plunder Douluo Star's origin. He subsequently relocated the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and the Ice God's Secret Realm, using their divine origins to attain godhood and completely seize control of the planet within two and a half years 39.
A golden Sky Screen later appeared across the entire planet, visible to every living creature regardless of location or strength. It identified itself as a creation of the “Cosmic Universe Consciousness” and began publicly ranking Douluo Star's strongest humans, distributing rewards to those listed 1 2.

The Sky Screen blankets the entire planet and exposes information that even its strongest residents cannot conceal. Shui Wulü, then a Peak Demigod, could not detect any trace of it despite searching across Douluo Star; she concluded that its level surpassed anything native to the world 19.
Its rankings radically reshape the planet's balance of power by revealing hidden gods, Ferocious Beasts, divine artifacts, and long-concealed factions. The rewards also accelerate the growth of both human and soul-beast powerhouses, contributing to Douluo Star's potential ascension 26 63.
Attempts to destroy the Sky Screen fail. Dragon God's Claw had no effect on it, while Xiong Jun's Sky-Rending Claw was reflected back several times faster, severely wounding him 59.
Conflict with the God Realm
Douluo Star is the central stake in Shui Wuyou's conflict with the God of Asura, Tang San, and the God Realm. Shui Wuyou seeks to recover the world's stolen origin and destiny while preventing Tang San from turning the planet into a private domain 39.
After becoming a God King, Shui Wuyou begins preparing a separate Lesser God Realm for Douluo Star. His intended purposes are to shelter his allies, conceal them from the existing God Realm, and eventually seal the planet in order to trap Sea God Poseidon and the God of Asura on its surface 43 44 50.
