A crackling reply came through the radio. After hearing the response, the ambusher who had been watching Roy's movements slipped into the crowded flow of people and vanished into the chaotic sea of bodies in the blink of an eye.
"Roger that. Once you start, I'll lead the Confunded Muggles into Platform Nine and Three-Quarters."
Meanwhile, in a corner of Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, where the red Hogwarts Express was parked, Tiago, disguised as a parent seeing his child off to school, hid in a concealed spot where he could monitor the platform entrance. No one noticed him.
Tiago, posing as an ordinary student's parent, wore a magic-interference-proof radio device in his ear. He had heard every word exchanged by the two subordinates responsible for the area outside the platform.
After receiving confirmation that Roy had entered the platform, Tiago immediately focused his attention on the platform entrance disguised as a red brick wall, waiting for his prey to emerge.
"The target is on the platform. Get ready."
Carrying bags and luggage, Roy followed behind a first-year student and passed through the wall between Platforms Nine and Ten. Dragging his suitcase, Roy lowered his head and walked into the red brick wall between the two entrances. The seemingly solid wall turned into an illusion the moment he touched it. When he opened his eyes again, the familiar red Hogwarts Express stood before him, billowing steam.
When Tiago noticed Roy on the platform, his previously relaxed expression immediately turned serious. After secretly glancing at the Aurors patrolling the platform, Tiago reminded his companions over the radio before making his move.
"That brat is hard to deal with. If Plan A fails, remember to carry out Plan B."
