Kirito Tonsaka grew stronger at the Ninja Academy, built ties with Nawaki and Chizuru, and helped protect the Orphanage children. After changing Nawaki’s decision to rush onto the battlefield, Kirito gained new power, while Mito prepared for Nawaki to mature quickly as her health declined.

• Kirito Tonsaka earned enough money to enter the Ninja Academy, taught Chakra cultivation to Yakushi Nonō and two other Orphanage children, and began training alongside Nawaki and Chizuru Uchiha.
• Kirito defeated Chizuru in a fight, then gained Mito Uzumaki’s support and studied Sealing Jutsu while attending the Academy.
• Kirito and his friends stopped a Uchiha Police Force member from abusing Yakushi Nonō, and Chizuru’s intervention led her to awaken another tomoe in her Sharingan.
• Kirito and Chizuru sparred until Chizuru won by poisoning him, and Mito ordered Kirito to eat with her daily after learning he had exhausted himself using Shadow Clones.
• Kirito began a Bloodline Fusion experiment with tissue grown from Mito’s hair, then warned Nawaki that early graduation would make him a target for enemy Jonin.

Kirito earned the Third Hokage’s attention by developing Magnet Release, then pursued the Spirit Transformation Technique under Mito’s guidance while beginning an internship at the Medical Unit. As Sunagakure spies probed Konoha and Danzo and Orochimaru watched Kirito, Kirito improved his soul techniques and ended the stretch on a concealed nighttime flight.

• Kirito impressed the Third Hokage with his Magnet Release and gave Konoha the method in exchange for the Spirit Transformation Technique, while the Third Hokage and Danzo argued over using him to draw out a spy.
• Kirito trained with Hyuga Yama, demonstrated his sealing skill to Kushina, and used Mito’s Reaper Death Seal formulas to create a technique that sent his unusually strong soul from his body.
• Mito arranged Kirito’s early graduation and Medical Unit internship, while Chizuru collapsed after using Lightning Flash and ordered Kari to protect Kirito if he faced mortal danger.
• Kirito and Kumo discovered a Sunagakure spy’s Karasu Lizard near the orphanage, and Kirito used a Reverse Four Symbols Seal to banish it and its hidden chakra.
• Kirito evaded four Anbu with his Shadow Clones, while Ebizo captured Hisashi Ryu and forced him to reveal Konoha’s border defenses before sealing his memories again.
• Kirito trained in medical ninjutsu and encountered Orochimaru, then secretly memorized Orochimaru’s Soft Body Modification scroll and made it disappear.

Kirito helped Mito uncover and punish Root’s sabotage of the Senju compound, then survived a further assassination plot and began building a network to undermine Danzo. As Konoha turned its attention from Amegakure to Sunagakure, Momoka challenged Hiruzen over the terms of the surrender.

• Kirito discovered Root agents and Senju informants sabotaging the Senju Clan Compound’s Barrier Seal, and Mito captured the conspirators while Kirito spotted a White Zetsu spying nearby.
• Mito and Konoha’s leaders exposed Danzo’s plot, stripped him of his positions, and sentenced him to life imprisonment, while Momoka became a Hokage Advisor and the Root prisoners were sentenced to execution.
• Kirito strengthened his Spirit Transformation Technique, but a Sealing Eye hidden in White Zetsu’s memories injured him when he tried to devour its soul.
• After a Root-backed assassination attempt failed, Kirito uncovered Yamanaka Yun’s role in the hospital plot and learned Danzo had promised Yun information about Rin’s killers.
• Kirito established himself as Gojo Shin in the Land of Waves, built a network of wandering ninjas and New Era Samurai, and recruited Gato and Uzumaki Ryoko.
• Kirito enlisted Chizuru’s help in targeting Root, sparred with her, and helped her overcome her difficulty with Water Release Chakra Nature training.
• Kirito studied a list of more than five hundred Root members and had five orphanage trainees memorize it so they could watch for Root agents.
• Kirito qualified as a Medical Ninja as Konoha defeated Amegakure, then watched Momoka challenge Hiruzen over accepting Amegakure’s surrender without compensation.

Kirito returned to Amegakure, defeated foreign ninja seeking to capture him, and became the focus of prisoner-exchange negotiations. At Konoha, he helped stabilize Mito-sama, completed his Yin Seal, and prepared for the Nine-Tails succession as Mito-sama’s health declined.

• After Konoha accepted Amegakure’s surrender, Kirito drew the support of dissatisfied young ninja and fought Konoha chunin who attacked him, then escaped Tsunade and Orochimaru.
• Hanzō invited Kirito back to Amegakure, admitted that his dream had ended, and Kirito agreed to return after a few days.
• Kirito defeated Sunagakure puppet masters Akasuna and Sarada, captured pursuing Kumogakure ninja, and urged Hanzō to arrange prisoner exchanges with the other villages.
• Sunagakure and Konoha considered exchanging prisoners with Kirito while Kirito formed a Sage Art: Rasengan and grew closer to Tsunade.
• Tsunade brought Kirito and Nawaki to visit Mito-sama, but the Nine-Tails broke loose until Kushina and Kirito’s sealing chains restrained it.
• Kirito collected the lingering Nine-Tails Chakra and completed his Yin Seal with Mito-sama’s help, then created a smaller Yin Seal for his White Zetsu Clone.
• Mito-sama asked Kirito to protect Kushina and help seal the Nine-Tails inside her, and Kirito promised to protect her for life.
• Kirito reassured the Third Hokage that Mito-sama’s seal remained stable, asked him to prepare the succession ritual, and called Kushina aside.
