Cultivation

Cultivation is a path of repeatedly reshaping oneself through comprehension, Dao Resonance, and interaction with heaven and earth. Its progress is gradual, but the resulting power is personal and cannot simply be taken away. 281

Spirit Roots

A Spirit Root determines a person’s natural efficiency in transforming spiritual qi into Spell Power and locating Apertures.

• The documented grades are Heaven, Earth, Mystic, and Yellow. Higher grades generally provide clearer bodies, faster cultivation, and easier Aperture perception. 1

Apertures and Dantians

Apertures are not physical cavities. They exist between body and soul in an unrealized state until a Cultivator perceives them with their own heart and solidifies them into reality. 1

Risks and Limitations

• Turbid qi obstructs spiritual perception and slows the search for Apertures. 1
• Incompatible inherited arts can lead to extremely slow progress, inability to begin cultivation, qi deviation, or collapse of the Dao Foundation. 30
• Cultivation consumes resources. Sustained circulation, breakthroughs, and body refinement require qi, blood, spiritual food, medicine, and time. 8 227
