Lu Qi led Mordo and the Shadow Army through a dimensional rift to battle the forces of another Dimension Lord. After defeating the enemy’s troops and wounding their leader, Lu Qi watched him escape and joined the Shadow Army in clearing the remaining forces.

• Lu Qi opened a rift to the enemy dimension, sent the Shadow Army through, and had Mordo and fifteen mages guard the passage with a defensive array.
• The Shadow Army fought the enemy infantry and mages while Mordo’s group supported them with long-range attacks, but cannon fire broke their defensive array.
• Lu Qi unlocked Troll Soldiers and sent four of them toward the enemy cannons while Shadow Ninjas and Blade Soldiers helped clear a path.
• Lu Qi gathered Dark Energy from the Shadow World, crossed into the enemy dimension, and attacked the enemy Mage Corps and Dimension Lord.

• Lu Qi had the enemy equipment moved to Kamar-Taj for the mages to study, then devoured the opposing dimension and gained over one million excavatable energy.
• The Ancient One told Lu Qi that she still had more than three thousand seven hundred spells to adapt before Stephen arrived.
• Lu Qi leveled up, doubled his constitution and energy rates, and learned he needed five thousand Ninja Soldiers for his next upgrade.
• Lu Qi left ten Shadow Ninjas to guard Pepper and discussed forming a phone company with Tony Stark, who offered him shares.
• Lu Qi showed Tony Stark a Troll Soldier, and Tony said General Ross had ordered ultrasonic weapons to pursue the Hulk.

Lu Qi visited Nick Fury to ask for help with Tony Stark’s worsening palladium poisoning, but S.H.I.E.L.D. could offer only an unfinished temporary treatment. After a suspicious call from a department overseeing S.H.I.E.L.D. funding, Lu Qi accused Fury of embezzlement, unaware that Hydra controlled the department and the missing funds.

• Lu Qi visited S.H.I.E.L.D. and told Fury that Tony’s condition was worsening, then asked for the organization’s help.
• Fury said S.H.I.E.L.D. was developing an injection that could temporarily reduce palladium in Tony’s blood, but it was not ready yet.
• A woman from a World Security Council department called Lu Qi to ask about suspected corruption within S.H.I.E.L.D., and he checked with Coulson that the department existed.

After encountering sleeping colossal Beasts far stronger than his forces, he marked the dimension as dangerous, conquered a more manageable one, and went out for a stroll.

• Lu Qi decided to monitor Doctor Samuel and planned to rescue civilians and kill Abomination when the conflict began.
• Lu Qi spent most of his energy on Shadow Legion reinforcements, forming thirty squads and ordering Mordo to prepare for another dimensional assault.
• Lu Qi sent squads into a dimension full of sleeping colossal Beasts, found that even Troll Soldiers could not lift one’s wing, and withdrew after marking the coordinates as dangerous.
• Lu Qi sent his Shadow Squads into another dimension, where they exhausted the enemy Dimension Lord’s energy and drove him away.

Lu Qi discovered that characters from seemingly fictional works might exist in other worlds and asked the Ancient One how to reach them. He learned to search for world coordinates in advanced objects, but the equipment he had seized contained no useful traces.

• Lu Qi visited a convention and recognized a costumed monster as one of the giant beasts from a dangerous dimension.
• Lu Qi rushed to Kamar-Taj and asked the Ancient One whether he could travel to other worlds through the Dark Dimension.
• The Ancient One explained that Lu Qi needed another world's coordinates and gave him a spell to detect objects carrying that world's aura.
• Lu Qi examined equipment from a previous dimensional war but found only ordinary Dark Energy and no world coordinates.

After running short on dimensions to conquer, Lu Qi traveled to Los Angeles to help S.H.I.E.L.D. investigate Vampires. He accepted a civilian job hunting them despite the danger posed by their supporters and hidden network.

• Lu Qi called Pepper and learned Tony was picking out furniture and fitness equipment for their home.
• Coulson brought Lu Qi to a safe house, where Lu Qi killed a chained Vampire by having a Ninja Soldier cut off its head.
• Coulson explained that Vampires could create infectious Blood Servants and that the authorities had agreed to coexist with the Vampire Twelve Elders.
• Lu Qi accepted a private Vampire-hunting job after Coulson linked the creatures to disappearances and bloodied crime scenes.

Lu Qi uncovered a hidden Vampire operation in Los Angeles, rescued more than a hundred captives, and slaughtered the Vampires at their underground gathering. With S.H.I.E.L.D. holding back from a direct assault, he headed to the Hailier Hotel to pursue the Vampire higher-ups.

• Lu Qi lured a Vampire into attacking him in an alley, killed him, and told Coulson to handle the body.
• A young Vampire led Christina and her friend Carrie into a hidden lair, where Vampires captured them and prepared to store them with other victims.

• Hall grew increasingly worried when his subordinate failed to report on the banquet, where Vampires gathered to feast on drugged young women.
• Lu Qi appeared at the banquet and surrounded the Vampires with Shadow Ninjas, then used a Troll Soldier and Assassin Ninja Soldiers to defeat them.
• Hall urged the Vampires to attack Lu Qi, but their charge failed; Lu Qi was knocked through the doors, and the remaining Vampires were captured.
• Lu Qi offered the host Hall in exchange for information, and the host revealed the Vampire strongholds; Hall was killed by the host.
• Lu Qi made the host lead him through Los Angeles, purged the city's Vampires, and left after earning eight million dollars, while Coulson handled the cleanup.

Six months after traveling and hunting Vampires across the United States, Lu Qi returned to see Tony after Pepper reported that Tony had changed. Lu Qi cleared the toxins from Tony’s body temporarily, learned that Palladium was still poisoning him, and persuaded him to go out and pursue his wishes before time ran out.

• Pepper called Lu Qi and asked him to return because Tony had stopped handling company affairs and spent all his time in the lab.
• Lu Qi finished fighting Vampires, and Coulson told him to stop hunting while S.H.I.E.L.D. negotiated a ceasefire with the Vampire elders.
• Lu Qi returned to Tony’s garage, where he and Tony joked before Lu Qi asked him about the Palladium poisoning.

• Coulson called Lu Qi about a yellow monster attacking Broadway, and Lu Qi arrived with the Shadow Legion to evacuate civilians and fight Abomination.
• Lu Qi learned that Abomination had absorbed the Hulk blood after Samuel was killed, then watched Abomination grow larger and overpower the Shadow Legion.
• Banner leaped from the helicopter, transformed into Hulk, and fought Abomination while Lu Qi charged up Dark Energy and the battle wrecked nearby buildings.

• Tony visited Ivan in the hospital, where Ivan taunted him about palladium poisoning and the threat his exposed technology posed.
