Background

The Luo God Clan traces its lineage to the ancient Luo God, a Saint Grade Heavenly Sovereign counted among the Great Thousand World’s greatest experts. She and many of the clan’s Heavenly Sovereigns fought the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan; Luo God ultimately fell after battling several Heavenly Demon Emperors. Her sacrifice remains central to the clan’s identity and its enduring hostility toward the invaders 1 47 98.

Later accounts specify that Luo God perished together with a Peak Heavenly Demon Emperor while protecting the Great Thousand World. The losses suffered by the clan during that calamity undermined its foundations, and it never fully recovered its former strength 188.

After Luo God’s fall, her essence was believed to merge with the Luo River surrounding Luo God City. The river became the clan’s sacred inheritance site and can respond only to exceptionally pure Luo God bloodlines 102.

By the present era, the clan had declined severely. Luo Cangqiong, a prodigy considered capable of becoming a Heavenly Sovereign, was killed through a scheme involving the Blood God, Strength God, and Bone God Clans. His death left Luo Tianshen—already afflicted with Blood Demon Poison—to resume leadership while the royal direct line and collateral branches contested authority 47 93 101 102.

The clan was the oldest of the Little Western Heaven Realm’s four great divine clans and had once been the strongest divine clan on the continent. Before the West Heaven War Hall’s rise, the land had been known as Luo God Continent for tens of thousands of years. The Luo God Clan retained considerable popular support despite its decline, in part because it favored peaceful life rather than territorial conquest and aggressive warfare 94 186 199.

Leadership and Organization

Royal Direct Line

The direct imperial line holds the purest Luo God Bloodline and is uniquely qualified to cultivate the Luo God Scripture and receive the Luo God Inheritance. Luo Li, the royal line’s most gifted descendant in nearly a thousand years, was designated as the future Luo God Empress because of her bloodline and potential 1 46 102.

The offices of clan leader and Luo God Empress are distinct. Luo Tianshen continued handling clan affairs after Luo Li’s ascent, allowing her to pursue greater cultivation while serving as the clan’s supreme future pillar 47 104.

Luo Tianlong, a former comrade-in-arms of Luo Cangqiong, supported the royal direct line. Although he was an important source of strength, he was not considered well suited to the political maneuvering needed to contend with the three collateral elders 105.

Collateral Branches

Three major collateral branches grew stronger while the royal line weakened. Their Lower Earthly Sovereign elders attempted to use the clan crisis to pressure the direct line into splitting the Luo God Clan 105.

Luo Li suppressed all three elders with her Luo God Bloodline and Lower Earthly Sovereign pressure, forcing their submission. She declared that treason, division, and violations of clan rules would be punished regardless of lineage 105 106.

The dispute also involved genuine misconduct within the clan. The elders accused royal descendants of extravagance, bullying collateral descendants, and avoiding battlefield service. Luo Li undertook to address abuses within the direct line while requiring the elders to correct problems among their own descendants 105.

Their initial submission did not end their disloyalty. During the Luo God Ritual, Blood Spirit Son revealed that the clan elders had informed the Blood God Clan of the ceremony, exposing their collusion with the clan’s blood enemy. After the Blood God Clan’s Earthly Sovereign leadership was eliminated, Luo Li judged that the remaining internal threats had lost their basis for survival and could be addressed through the planned rectification 109 111.

Military and Administration

The clan maintained armies and elite soldiers capable of forming the Luo River Formation to protect its sacred ceremonies. Nevertheless, before the Blood God Clan lost its leadership, the Luo God Clan’s army could not realistically breach its rival’s territory in a direct offensive 107 111.

Luo Li intended to build a personal army loyal to the empress, drawing on her accomplishments as a Battle Formation Master. Jiuyou offered her two-thirds of the Nine Nether Guards to assist with this effort; subsequent plans called for the empress’s personal army to be trained and reorganized using the Nine Nether Guards as its model 88 111.

The clan’s restoration did not immediately resolve its shortage of high-level experts. Even after Luo Li became an Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereign, the clan lacked a Quasi-Heavenly Sovereign and remained dependent on her and its allies for protection against superpowers. Immortal Chi Yan later observed that its overall strength was still far below that of the ancient Luo God Clan 186 250.

Heritage and Assets

• Luo God Bloodline — The clan’s defining inheritance. Bloodline purity determines access to its greatest arts and rituals; Luo Li possesses the richest known bloodline of her generation 1 102.
• Luo God Scripture — A direct-imperial-line cultivation art. Its practitioners commonly develop silver hair, which may return to black only after mastery 46.
• Luo River — The clan’s sacred river, believed to contain the merged essence of the fallen Luo God. Even Heavenly Sovereigns cannot easily uncover its depths 102.
• Luo God Ritual — A bloodline ritual performed at the Luo River by the Luo God Empress. It summons the ancestral legacy, grants the Luo God Inheritance, and advances cultivation of the Luo God Dharma Body 102 106 107.
• Luo God Dharma Body — Ranked eleventh among the ninety-nine Sovereign Dharma Bodies. Luo Li’s exceptionally pure bloodline allowed her to begin cultivating it before undergoing the Luo God Ritual; ancestral recognition through the ritual was needed to bring it to great mastery 56 102.
• Luo God Sword — The clan-protecting divine artifact and former Saint-grade Peerless Saint Object of Luo God. Luo Li could wield most of its power after reaching the Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereign Realm 189.
• Battle Formation Master inheritance — The clan retains extensive Battle Formation Master teachings, including an inheritance sufficient to produce a Million-Pattern Battle Formation Master comparable to an Earthly Sovereign 66.
• Luo River Formation — A defensive formation intended to conceal the Luo God Ritual and prevent outside interference 106 109.
• Luo God Flowers — Mysterious blood-red flowers that emerged from the Luo River during Luo Li’s ritual. They fused into an enormous flower that enclosed her while she received the ancestral inheritance 107 108.

History

Resistance to the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan

The Luo God Clan historically dispatched experts to defend the Great Thousand World’s borders. Its decline eventually made such deployments unsustainable, as it struggled even to maintain its own war against the other divine clans of the Little Western Heaven Realm 47.

When White Dragon Supreme sought help against the Blood Evil Clan occupying his homeland, Luo Li explained that the Luo God Clan could not spare the resources for an expedition. She nevertheless promised to go once she had sufficient ability, maintaining that resistance to the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan remained a responsibility within the limits of one’s strength 47.

The later commitment to help guard the Westernmost Land marked a renewed role in frontier defense. In Saint Abyss City, Zhao Chen proposed supplementing Great Thousand Palace’s established Demon-Slaying List rewards with contributions from Thunder Palace, the Luo God Clan, and the Nine Netherbird Tribe. Lu Tong welcomed the proposal, while Great Thousand Palace retained responsibility for administering the list and honoring its existing rewards 191 205.

Rule over Luo God Continent

The Luo God Clan’s succession to continental rule was welcomed by inhabitants who associated it with peace and an end to prolonged warfare. Luo Li publicly announced her identity as Luo God Empress and her intention to restore order after the Western Heaven War Emperor’s death 199.

The West Heaven War Hall’s destruction did not immediately erase its influence. Its long rule had left networks throughout the continent that could not be removed by a single declaration. The Luo God Clan’s existing legitimacy and popular support therefore provided an important foundation for consolidating the restored continent 199.

• Ancient Luo God — Ancestor and greatest historical figure; her sacrifice, bloodline, Luo River, sword, and inheritance form the core of the clan’s legacy 102 107.

• Flame Emperor Xiao Yan — Owes Luo Tianshen a substantial personal debt. Shortly after Xiao Yan entered the Great Thousand World, Luo Tianshen guided him in converting battle qi into spiritual energy, helping him recover in time to find his wife and daughter.
