Background
Ye Tian entered Konoha as a genin while maintaining a highly convincing persona as a terminally ill youth expected to die before adulthood. He graduated from the Academy, received a forehead protector, and was assigned to Team Eleven under Ebisu alongside Tanaka Ichiro and Sato Jisuke. Behind the frailty, he was already a cultivator focused on accumulating spiritual resources rather than becoming an orthodox shinobi. 1 2 3
During Team Eleven’s first D-rank mission, Ye Tian secretly used Divine Sense to locate a century-old Purple Lingzhi while appearing to merely follow the search for Ahu the cat. He subdued the animal with cultivator pressure, took the fungus unnoticed, and used it to reach Qi Refining Fourth Level. 4 5
He later attached himself to Team 7’s Land of Waves mission by fabricating a need for rare medicine. The mission brought him access to materials such as Nine-Tails-origin energy and fragments of Kubikiribōchō, which he treated as cultivation resources rather than battlefield trophies. 8 16 19
After the Konoha Crush, Ye Tian turned his healing arts into a business by opening the Heavenly Secrets General Store. Its effective medicines made him wealthy and visible, pushing him to seek political backing while preparing for stronger threats such as Root and Akatsuki. 69 70
He later founded Tianyuan Trading Company, expanded through black markets and foreign villages, recruited Fūma Kotarō as his first agent, and forged the Nine-Dragon Black Gold Cauldron to increase his alchemical and artifact-refining output. 111 112 113
After Root framed Tianyuan Trading Company for treason, Ye Tian severed his relationship with Konoha rather than submit to its political demands. He relocated to Kirigakure, established Tianyuan Immortal Trace, and began teaching selected disciples Longevity Qi as an alternative to chakra cultivation. 140 141
Ye Tian later appeared to perish in a lightning tribulation, surviving only as a fading Primordial Spirit. He reconstructed a new body in a remote valley with most of his memories missing, adopted the name Ye Zhetian, and was drawn into Kumogakure through Yugito Nii and Matatabi. 149 150 151
As the conflict escalated into a struggle against the Heavenly Dao, the Admin, and invading cultivators, Ye Tian became a central source of cultivation knowledge, artifact support, and power enhancement for the shinobi world’s defenders. He increasingly acted through disciples and allies to avoid direct Heavenly Dao suppression. 141 162 164
Appearance
Ye Tian deliberately presents himself as pale, exhausted, and physically fragile. He commonly leans on a crude cane, coughs into a handkerchief, and carries a chipped thermos cup of medicinal tea to reinforce the image of Konoha’s “number one sickly patient.” 38 42 69
- Pale complexion and melancholy or unfocused eyes while acting weak. 2 42
- Usually wears loose dark robes or a black cloak that conceal his physique and equipment. 95 96
- Carries a polished tree-branch crutch and an ever-present thermos cup. 38 49
- After rebirth, possesses a youthful reconstructed Innate Dao Body with jade-pale skin and an otherworldly aura. 150
- Bears a red forehead mark that flashes gold when he uses the name “Ye Zhetian.” 151
Personality
Ye Tian is pragmatic, acquisitive, and relentlessly opportunistic. He evaluates missions, battles, people, and even disasters according to their potential value as cultivation materials, business opportunities, or sources of leverage. He frequently scavenges remains, collects rare substances, and repurposes enemy techniques for his own advancement. 19 89 107 117
His primary defense is misdirection. Ye Tian cultivates an image of helpless illness, then uses the sympathy, lowered guard, and assumptions it produces to hide his strength or influence others. Even when facing assassination attempts and powerful cultivators, he often continues the act rather than reveal his full capabilities. 5 95 235 248
He is inventive and irreverent, combining cultivation principles with shinobi techniques, formations, medicine, commerce, and even system-like terminology. His experiments are often dangerous, but he is willing to test unstable techniques on himself if they may yield an advantage. 7 44 113
Despite his self-interest and habit of treating allies as strategic assets, Ye Tian becomes increasingly protective of the people and territory under his influence. When external invaders threaten the Shinobi World, he accepts responsibility for resisting them rather than allowing the land to be harvested. 141 164
Abilities & Skills
Immortal Cultivation
Ye Tian cultivates Spiritual Energy, Spirit Liquid, True Essence, and Immortal Essence rather than ordinary chakra.
- Uses the Supreme Longevity Formula and related methods to refine energy, purify meridians, and advance through cultivation realms. 44 94
- Can convert or adapt foreign energy sources, including Nine-Tails chakra, Natural Energy, Amaterasu Black Flame, and other bloodline-derived materials. 16 44 94
- Reforged his body during Foundation Establishment, moving it toward an Immortal Body. 95
- Uses cultivation principles to enhance or rebuild the foundations of allies such as Tsunade, Yugito, Mei Terumi, Mabui, and Hinata. 173 183 220 239
- His direct use of higher-level power attracts Heavenly Dao suppression and tribulation; he therefore often works indirectly through disciples and local allies. 141 162
Divine Sense and Heavenly Eye
Ye Tian’s perception is one of his most consistent advantages.
- Reached a Divine Sense range of roughly 800 meters at Qi Refining Fourth Level. 5
- Expanded his range to five kilometers upon reaching Initial Foundation Establishment. 95
- Detects chakra signatures, meridians, concealed opponents, spatial disturbances, and structural weaknesses. 7 96 117

Sword Arts and Blood Drinker
Ye Tian’s Life-Bound Flying Sword, Blood Drinker, is his principal offensive artifact.
- Refined from rare materials including Kubikiribōchō fragments, Manda scales, and other collected resources. 19 89
- Can strike with surgical precision at acupoints, joints, nerves, and meridians rather than relying on direct force. 117
- Is tempered with materials such as Katsuyu acid and yin-aspected substances to develop destructive and corrosive properties. 89 128
- Ye Tian can apply advanced sword law through ordinary objects; he destroyed three enemy Flying Swords using a rotten twig and the basic technique “Parting Clouds.” 210
Talismans and Movement Techniques
Ye Tian develops hybrid techniques by merging cultivation arts with shinobi tools.
- Remote Object Manipulation — Moves objects without direct contact; he considered using it to redirect enemy Explosive Tags. 7
- Ye-Style Substitution Technique, Flash — A short afterimage displacement of roughly five meters without hand seals; severely strains his legs and is limited to about three uses in battle. 7
- Divine Movement Talisman — A fusion of explosive-tag materials and speed talismans that grants extreme acceleration, but initially lacked a braking method. 7
- Dust-Cleansing Talisman — A cleansing charm given to Ino under the guise of a beauty formula. 20
Formations, Alchemy, and Artifact Refinement
Ye Tian is a technical cultivator who turns resources into infrastructure and tools.
- Designed a filtered Small Spirit-Gathering Array to purify Natural Energy before absorption. 44
- Used arrays and the spiritual vein beneath the Hokage Building to support his Foundation Establishment breakthrough. 94 95
- Created medicines including Powerful Blood-Stopping Powder, Spirit-Calming Talismans, Pure Heart Detox Pills, and cultivation-enhanced meals. 46 69 116
- Forged the Nine-Dragon Black Gold Cauldron with Amaterasu Black Flame, Earth Essence, Manda scales, Kimimaro bone powder, and Nine-Tails chakra ink. 113
- Uses the cauldron to absorb and repurpose enemy chakra-based techniques, including Earth Release: Gravity Crush. 117
Soul, Sealing, and Transformation Arts
Ye Tian possesses methods that directly affect souls, spiritual foundations, and cultivation cores.
- Uses Soul Search to extract memories and intelligence, as demonstrated on a bounty-hunter leader and Bi Yao. 117 194
- Employs Spirit-Sealing Locks to suppress an opponent’s cultivation and Sword Essence. 194
- Bound Fūma Kotarō with a Heavenly Origin Seal, making him Ye Tian’s first recruited agent. 112
- Reforged Yugito and Matatabi into the Netherworld Fire-Essence Cat Core, granting Yugito Netherworld Nine-Turn Purple Flame. 183
- Can transfer True Essence through allies, allowing them to wield power beyond their former limits. 162 235

- Blood Drinker — Ye Tian’s bonded Flying Sword, refined and strengthened through scavenged materials. 19 117
- Nine-Dragon Black Gold Cauldron — Artifact-forging and alchemy cauldron tempered by lightning tribulation. 113
- Storage Bag / Universe in the Sleeve — Conceals money, herbs, weapons, corpses, materials, and other spoils. 69 89 140

- Heavenly Origin Pavilion — Organization entrusted to Fūma Kotarō during Ye Tian’s apparent death. 149

- Ino Yamanaka — Early acquaintance who repeatedly shows concern for Ye Tian; later helps manage flower-related business within Heavenly Origin Pavilion and openly resists his departures. 3 111 120
- Tsunade — Business partner, political ally, cultivation beneficiary, and frequent protector. Their relationship is strained by Ye Tian’s manipulation and Konoha’s earlier betrayal of him. 111 140 173

Land of Waves and Chunin Exams
By joining Team 7’s Land of Waves mission, Ye Tian begins gathering high-value materials from major shinobi conflicts. After apparent death in heavenly lightning, Ye Tian reconstructs himself as Ye Zhetian. He becomes involved in Kumogakure’s struggles, clashes with the Heavenly Dao’s Chosen forces, and develops ways to distribute cultivation power without exposing himself directly. 149 150 162 183
Secret Realm and Outworld Cultivators
Ye Tian opposes the Devourers, the Heavenly Dao Admin, and multiple external cultivation sects seeking the World Core. He treats the conflict as both a defensive war for the Shinobi World and an opportunity to seize external resources, techniques, and information. 164 194 205 210
