Tsunade was a legendary Sannin known for her medical skill, monstrous strength, and disastrous gambling luck. When Ye Tian first encounters her in Tanzaku Town, she has lost her money at the casino and is attempting to borrow more despite Shizune's objections. Her reputation is so notorious that other gamblers immediately bet against her choices. 78

Ye Tian exploits this misfortune by wagering that she will return to Konoha and become Hokage. Tsunade refuses to stake the Hokage title because it evokes the deaths of people she loved, instead demanding Ye Tian's eyes if he loses.
