"Rumble—!!"
The tremors deep within the holy land had spread across all of Giant Wood Island. The ground heaved violently like ocean waves, while the vast roots of the Primordial Giant Trees groaned painfully beneath the savage pressure. Countless chunks of rubble and broken ancient components rained down.
"Rain!" Carina clung desperately to a bronze pillar to keep from being flung away. As she watched the control console swallowed by endless red light and gray, magma-laden gusts, her beautiful eyes were filled with worry.
At that moment, Rain was enduring a terrifying pressure beyond anything an ordinary person could imagine.
The underground rock veins, burdened with eight hundred years of technological flaws from the Great Kingdom and nature's accumulated resentment, were like an enraged ancient black dragon, desperately seeking to erupt through the alloy cracks. Tens of millions of tons of subterranean pressure and mutated lava capable of melting everything tore madly at Rain's Obsidian Armament Haki through his hands.
"Nothing but eight hundred years' worth of crustal scraps..."
Rain's eyes flew wide open, and his dark gray pupils completely transformed into flowing dark crimson. Faced with this near-natural disaster, not only did he refuse to retreat, but the cold smile on his lips became even more feral.
"Before me, even the earth itself has to stay put!"
A thunderous growl burst from Rain's throat. He slammed both hands downward, his fingers hooking deep into the blazing magma fissure like steel claws.
In an instant, the underground rock layers within several kilometers around Rain were forcibly reconstructed by his Logia ability. The mutated lava, originally violent and chaotic and on the verge of triggering a supervolcanic eruption, had its molecular structure savagely compressed, cooled, and assimilated the instant it came into contact with Rain's power!
"Crack! Crack!"
