When Shanks and Rayleigh charged into the explosion, Shanks immediately erupted with sky-piercing killing intent. His emotions had never been so out of control; for the first time, he completely lost his composure and roared at Oak below.

Yasopp and Lucky Roux had survived purely because they reacted quickly, while the monkey had survived because his partner shielded him with his body after the explosion and threw him out of the blast. As a result, he was the least injured member of the entire Red-Hair Pirates.
