After leaving the battlefield, Oak first made his way to a ship on the sea beyond it.
"Uncle Oak!"
This was the ship Katakuri had brought. He had led everyone away from the Sabaody Archipelago long ago and had been waiting for Oak out at sea. Seeing Oak return, he eagerly hurried over.
Also aboard the ship were Trafalgar Law, Bonney, and Kuma.
"You're incredible!"
Katakuri's joyful eyes were full of admiration for Oak. He had not seen Oak's battle against Imu and thought Oak had been fighting Garp, Sengoku, two Admirals, Dark King Rayleigh, and the Red-Hair Pirates all along.
That was a lineup of seven top-tier powerhouses, yet Uncle Oak had returned safe and sound without seeming to have suffered in the slightest. How powerful was that?
Sure enough, no matter when it was, Uncle Oak was still Uncle Oak. He had been like a god in Katakuri's eyes decades ago, and even more so now.
Katakuri's gaze pleased Oak greatly. Since returning to these seas, Katakuri was the junior he had found most satisfying. Unlike those two brats Ace and Teach, who only knew how to make him angry and made him want to beat them up whenever he saw them.
How was Katakuri like them? He had such a sweet mouth and spoke so pleasantly!
You're on the right track, Katakuri!
He reached out and patted Katakuri's arm.
Mm!
After returning to his normal form, Katakuri was still far too tall compared to him. Oak could not reach Katakuri's shoulder.
That was the one thing Uncle Oak found a little unsatisfactory, so he quietly stepped back a little, making himself look less "short" in front of Katakuri.
"Why do you wear that stupid scarf all day?"
"What, you don't want anyone seeing that mouth of yours?
