"The first time Uncle Oak sends me out on a mission, and I run into something like this!"
Marco stared speechlessly at the lasers filling the sky and the Ox-Spider on the ground before him.
An hour earlier, they had successfully intercepted Gran Tesoro in these waters, only to meet fierce resistance from Tazono. Even with all three of them working together, it had taken tremendous effort to subdue him on his home turf. They had thought the mission was nearly complete when Admiral Kizaru and one of the Five Elders suddenly appeared.
How the hell were they supposed to fight this?
Marco promptly asked Oak for help through Rob Lucci.
"Hold out for a while. Master will be here soon!"
Rob Lucci shouted to them after communicating with Oak through a special method. A battle of this level was far beyond anything he could take part in.
"On the left! Watch out for the lasers!"
Marco, Katakuri, and King stood back-to-back.
Katakuri remained calm, controlling the battlefield with his Future Sight Observation Haki and warning Marco and King of incoming attacks. At his warning, Marco spread his wings, transformed into a nine-headed bird, and soared into the sky.

The nine-headed bird spewed scorching flames from his mouths, sweeping them toward the lasers. The waves of fire and the lasers canceled each other out, averting the immediate danger.
"King, on your right! That monster will stab at you with a spider leg in three seconds!"
Katakuri issued another warning. The flames behind King burned even more fiercely, bolstering his already formidable defenses.
